Countries: ES · Grant: €55,000

Project summary

New contemporary learning and education approaches that can scale and meet the needs of new entrants and re-skilling of the incumbent workforce are needed more than ever in a highly specialized and technologized world within Industry 5.0, presenting significant challenges and demands, framed in a rapid reset of curricula and core tenets of business and economics for new generations of students. Partnering with an industry-led vanguard focused on circularity, resilience and regeneration could provide the conditions for European universities to shorten the time to distribution and dissemination of new knowledge as well as to reform education and promote strategic innovation portfolios. Nevertheless, the answer required from the educational system as a whole is complex, necessitating an understanding of the integration of the industrial transformation related areas in the academic arena. EMaCS aims at investing in building mind-sets, multidisciplinary skills and capabilities for complex adaptive business to empower graduates and active practitioners towards a comprehensive understanding on industry government 5.0. Thus, ensuring that industry becomes a pillar and driver of sustainability, regeneration of nature and inclusion rather than constituting a threat. In a few words, EMaCS is designed to optimize the understanding of the impact that automation and digitization have on skill requirements and preparing for the future of work, in terms of real value approaches and wider organisation acceptance. EMaCS will lead to a joint degree of 120 ECTS (allowing to access to doctoral studies) and one single diploma will be awarded by each of the participating HEIs from the 6 countries (Spain, Romania, Portugal, Germany, Finland and France). From the point of view of organization, EMaCS will have a strong practical component, and students will have the possibility of doing internships in formal educational institutions, different from their countries.
