The extended FORTHEM Alliance of 9 partner universities, building on the solid foundations laid by its 7 founding members (2019-2022), remains a resolutely multi-disciplinary alliance, working to reshape all areas of university life within its European Campus. In line with its objectives of increased student and staff mobility, internationalisation at home, co-creation with external partners, strengthened research cooperation, upskilling and the development of innovative pedagogical practices, all profoundly and sustainably rooted in everyday practices within all partner universities, the Alliance has adapted its governance structure and reorganised its activities around 5 key missions. This proposal covers transversal aspects of the Alliance’s activity, such as project management, common structures, communication, IT solutions, alliance-level international relations, and more specific actions in line with the missions: continuing to reduce barriers to mobility, developing green and inclusive solutions, reinforcing the Digital Academy, promoting team-teaching, internships and short-term mobilities, setting up micro-credentials, joint and multiple European degrees, lifelong learning, fostering future-oriented pedagogy and multilingual communication, supporting co-creation projects and emerging research collaborations. Outputs include online, physical or hybrid cooperation activities, co-creation projects, guides and best practices implemented across the alliance, impacting in the long term over 200 000 students, 30 000 staff and numerous regional partners, “bringing Europe home” by encouraging student initiatives, supporting early-stage researchers, building on strengths and stimulating academic cooperation in all fields and disciplines, involving administrative and technical personnel, but also developing actions aimed at schoolteachers, companies and associated institutional partners, reaching into local communities to build bridges between European regions.
