Countries: CZ · Grant: €55,000

Project summary

The aim of the project is to contribute to professionalization of Cultural and Creative Industries (CCIs) from the perspective of managerial capacity building while reflecting the growth and changes of the sector. This will be gained through a design of a highly integrated joint master programme with an interdisciplinary approach in context of digitalization of culture, new technologies, environmental sustainability and innovation. The project will draw on data and research on the CCIs, as well as trends in higher education, and form the design and future looking curriculum of a new joint master programme relevant for the current and upcoming needed skills and competences. The design of the master programme will be the main output of the project and will be submitted to assessment by quality assurance agency. In addition, the project aims to: Foster the exchange of knowledge between the previously unconnected curricula in the cultural heritage and creative industries sector to [firstly] address the fragmentation of the field, and thereafter to develop a joint learning program that bridges humanities and ITCs. Bring together a diverse group of experts and stakeholders from academia, the cultural and creative industries, and other relevant fields to collaborate on the development of the master programme. Promote cross-border mobility and cultural exchange through the international nature of the master programme, which will include opportunities for study abroad and participation from students and institutions from a range of countries. Contribute to the goals and priorities of the Erasmus Mundus program by enhancing the quality of higher education and promoting dialogue and understanding between people and cultures. Involve in the master programme design process underrepresented EU member states HEI and other partners – in this case from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Slovenia, overall, the project consortium consists of 5 partners, 4 of them HEI institutions.
