The aim of this Erasmus Mundus Design Measures project is to foster the efforts of eight internationally recognized European institutions (Dutch, French, German and Italian) in the training of Master students on Modelling, Simulation and Control of Multiphysics Systems in order to prepare the application for an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Program on this challenging topic, responding to a major industrial need in terms of job profile. This joint program should facilitate the exchanges, collaborations and joint actions between these different partners, facilitate to enlargement of the initial consortium to other academics and industrial partners, and attract outstanding students within and beyond the partner universities to work on this topic. The originality of this program lies both in its topic that is challenging and not covered by any other EMJMD nor any other international Master degree over the world and in its form: students and lecturers will be brought together in the host University during semester 3 in order to follow high-level coordinated training courses given by among the most internationally recognized researchers on these topics. The students will beneficiate from innovative pedagogies (team working, projects, conferences, internet courses, online seminars, bibliographical analysis, videos etc …), and experimental facilities (both on site and remotely operated). During semester 4 they will be split among the research and development centers from the involved universities or the network of industrial partners for intensive and innovative research projects.
