We are facing an overarching transition, in the energy-food-water nexus and services provisioning. This transition is the greatest challenge Europe will face this decade and will require an adaptation in many sectors, including education. In addition, the current COVID-19 pandemic and changes in the landscape of learning are compelling for new ways of education. We need new experts in this transition era, able to resolve a range of complex and wicked problems, from climate change to sustainable development of resources and the well-being of citizens and their environments. With an MSc in Eye4Water we want to graduate scientists and engineers that have the competency of handling the complexity of data science, convert Earth Observation to useful information, and use them to provide efficient adaptation strategies, optimizing thereby the sustainable use of water resources whilst improving the wellbeing of humane and its environment. The Master programme will empower the participants with the competency to become the expert in the transition era, towards sustainable and climate resilient future.
