The Erasmus+ project "Building International Bridges: Establishing International Relations Offices in Egyptian Higher Education Institutes (HEIs)" aims to establish and enhance international relations offices (IROs) in Egyptian universities to support internationalization and promote global collaboration. The project will transfer European best practices in IRO management and provide support for the establishment or enhancement of IROs, increasing their capacity and effectiveness. The project will be carried out by a consortium of Egyptian and European universities and include six work packages covering activities such as needs assessment, IRO plan development, best practice implementation, staff training, knowledge transfer and dissemination, and sustainability planning. The project will benefit IRO staff, university administrators, and students, and the expected results include successful establishment or enhancement of IROs, increased capacity and effectiveness, improved knowledge, and skills of IRO staff, increased international exchange and collaboration opportunities, and the promotion of a culture of internationalization in higher education in Egypt. The project will produce several outputs including a needs assessment report, a plan for the IROs, a manual of procedures for IRO management, training programs for IRO staff, a dissemination plan, a sustainability plan, and a project management plan, as well as monitoring and evaluation reports to assess impact and ensure sustainability. Overall, this project will provide the necessary resources, knowledge, and support for Egyptian universities to effectively participate in internationalization efforts and promote a culture of global collaboration, especially for new and less-experienced universities in the delta and upper Egypt regions
