YOUR-PATH intends to empower vulnerable youth and enhance their employability in Turkey, Lebanon, and Tunisia, which show alarming rates of youth unemployment, NEETs, early school dropouts, and gender inequality. To accomplish this goal, and under the coordination of Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), context-specific research about labor market needs, laws, and opportunities will be carried out and will serve as a baseline study to better define the curricula of the two successive phases of training; the first will target professional trainers and youth leaders, in order to prepare them for their roles as guides and mentors for youth. The latter, organized in the form of hands-on, participatory workshops, will target youth beneficiaries (15-25 years old) and will focus on transversal skills that, based on solid professional development research, have proven to significantly facilitate access to the labor market and support in fulfilling one's potential. A final step of individual mentorship will ensure that each beneficiary receives individual support in defining his/her career or educational path. To ensure the project's impact, sustainability, and efficiency, an effective monitoring and evaluation system will be established; additionally, a comprehensive dissemination campaign will publish project results, studies, and outputs on YOUR-PATH-website's and partners' social media for external stakeholders to benefit from them for future training, policy, and decision making. The individually-tailored and context-specific approach of YOUR-PATH makes the project a unique added value among the solutions available to vulnerable youth, who will receive mentoring and have their new skills recognized in an official certificate.
