In order to support the formal education system that is still limping behind the rapid changes in the way we learn and communicate with each other, the Think Twice project creates opportunities for competence development of learners and educators, capacity building of education providers, and proposals for policymakers making decisions on curricula content, initial and CPD education of teachers in the area of media and digital literacy. There are several target groups of the Think Twice project. Firstly, educators working in formal learning contexts – in primary, secondary or adult education. In addition, some of the project activities will also target university students in a teaching track, i.e., future teachers in order to provide quality training opportunities on incorporating media literacy in education for both initial teacher education and continuing professional development of practicing teachers. Secondly, the project will directly target learners of various ages in order to provide a practical tool for media literacy development educators can use with: children aged 8-12, teens, and adults. Thirdly, the project will target education decision-makers at institutional level (school managers, education managers, principals/heads) and regional/national level (governmental public bodies overseeing primary, secondary or adult education). Lastly, the project will target communities as a whole through the production of a social media campaign, raising awareness and knowledge of disinformation and misinformation.
