Countries: BE|AL|GE|UA|RS|MK|MD · Grant: €400,000

Project summary

CompletEU was designed by a consortium led by JEF Europe and formed by the National Youth Councils of Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Serbia, North Macedonia and Albania. The project seeks to bring together youth organizations from EU, WB and EaP countries, to establish an equality-driven and sustainable cooperation among these countries, bringing in fresh perspectives of what the EU will look like in the future - when it will include all the candidate and potential candidate countries – and work together on a common vision of the future of the EU. The project’s main objectives are: exploring and jointly revisiting the concepts of democracy, rule of law and peace; increasing meaningful youth participation in EU and national elections in 2024-2025. The project’s activities include: a kick-off spring European event, online and in-person trainings on different levels, a European simulation including EU, WB and EaP countries, enacting campaigns and action plans, and a closing European event. The expected results are: young people gaining valuable competences related to European citizenship, democracy, rule of law, peace and inclusion; spreading of renewed ideas about European democracy and youth participation; strengthening and expanding network of youth organisations; changing perspectives in policy-making on the future of Europe. This project will benefit at least 500 young multipliers involved through international, national, and local actions; 2000 young people at the local level; 100 youth organisations who are aware of the outputs of the programme and can use it further in their activities; 50 policy-makers who are aware of the project and heard about the New Horizons vision document and the simulation game. CompletEU will produce the following outputs: an elections toolkit; training recordings and manuals; research mapping the concepts of peace and democracy in the target countries; a toolkit to enact further European simulations in the future.
