Project summary

The overall aim of the project is to increase the research and development (R&D) capacities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH). Specific goals are: • Development of R&D strategies across entities/cantons in BIH • Establishment of R&D centers across universities in BIH • Development of the network of R&D centers across BIH Development of scientific research and development is one of the basic strategic goals at universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Since the old R&D strategies have expired in 2021 across all entities/cantos in BIH, this project will help to develop new strategies through joint effort of six leading HE institutions in the country, in cooperation with respective ministries and other stakeholders. Additionally, in strategic documents of all BIH universities, one of the activities is support of scientific and research quality and excellence through specific centres for development and support. So far, this kind of scientific R&D centres does not exist at most of the universities in BIH. Therefore, one of the strategic goals is improvement of research capacities through development of R&D centres and incubators at universities. The third important goal of this project is better cooperation of HE institutions and companies through development of the network of all R&D institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
