The project aims to strengthen the capacities of partner African HEIs in Ghana and Rwanda in conflict management and transformation studies and foster international academic cooperation between third countries not associated to the Programme (Ghana and Rwanda) and the EU countries (Austria and Spain). The project thus provides students and HEI staff with detailed knowledge and tools for work and study in conflict management and transformation, focusing on analytical and critical thinking skills. As concrete actions, we propose jointly developing interventions to improve existing curricula and internationalizing teaching materials on conflict studies that will be integrated into the teaching programs of the universities from countries not associated to the Programme. Additionally, collaborative international online learning and multimedia courses in Participatory Video (PV) techniques will be implemented, and two final conferences in the capital cities of Accra (Ghana) and Kigali (Rwanda) will disseminate the results of the project. The final product will be a training of trainers teaching manual that takes into account the cross-cultural and intercultural (including gender) perspectives of the project. The third countries not associated to the Programme are Ghana (SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies, Wa SDD and University of Ghana UG) and Rwanda (Protestant University of Rwanda, Huye, PUR and University of Rwanda UR). The University of Applied Sciences FH Campus Vienna UASCV (which will act as project coordinator), and the Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ULPGC are from the EU countries of Austria and Spain, respectively.
