ELEVATE-WISE aims to stimulate female students' interest in STEM careers and their prospects of accessing these demanding niche markets, while helping them to reduce their drop-out rate in these fields of education. The consortium of 8 partners (including 2 European HEIs; 1 from Spain and 1 from Portugal and 4 HEIs from Sub-Saharan Africa; 2 from Ivory Coast and 2 from Cape Verde) will work together to achieve the following results: 1 )Updated needs analysis report for universities in Ivory Coast and Cape Verde, 2) ELEVATE-WISE STEM for Women Mentorship and Training Program, 3) ELEVATE-WISE HANDBOOK: fostering an enriched learning experience conducive to grasping STEM subjects across diverse educational settings, 4) ELEVATE-WISE Hub: A platform functioning as a dynamization and informative reference point, 5) ELEVATE-WISE School of Change (Train the Trainer): An online course to empower STEAM mentors, enabling them to become effective trainers, and 6) ELEVATE-WISE Service-Learning Implementation Manual and Best Practices. This will be achieved by adopting a practical and active methodology that enables female students to solve real problems, in particular, the challenges they face in Ivory Coast and Cape Verde.
