The project aims to enhance the international competitiveness of Azerbaijani universities through effective internationalization-at-home strategies and faculty development. It aligns with the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) program to improve education quality, modernize governance, and foster innovation and socio-economic growth. The initiative adopts a comprehensive approach to internationalization, involving the development of realistic and tailored internationalization strategies for each university. The specific objectives include boosting internationalization capacity by establishing or modernizing International Relations departments in six Azerbaijani universities, among other strategic goals, to address the needs and gaps identified in the current internationalization level.
