The NOVA University Lisbon and partners aim at designing a new master's degree programme in the healthcare management field, namely in the area of digital innovation in health. The advent of digitalization in health, associated with advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), data science and other technologies, creates opportunities to disruptively transform healthcare systems. This transformation can lead to improved efficiency, sustainability, and social cohesion, which leverages the development and economic growth by promoting integrated social responses. Despite this finding, its application to improve the health of populations remains largely unexplored or implemented, leaving significant opportunities for its use in the field of public health. And there is a growing demand for professionals who have the skills and knowledge to implement and manage digital solutions in health. The Digital Innovation in Health Master can provide students with the training needed to assume a leading role on innovation in health as well as design and develop innovative digital technologies and to understand the complexities of healthcare systems in Europe. This program can help equip students with the necessary skills to work in a wide range of fields within the healthcare sector, including medical devices, telemedicine, data science and healthcare information technology. By preparing students for careers in digital in health, the Digital Innovation in Health Master’s program can contribute to improving the quality of healthcare and enhancing patient outcomes. Furthermore, this course also aims to increase digital literacy among students, which allows for a fast track to innovation implementation. One of the main focuses of the regional digital health action plan for the WHO European Region 2023–2030 is to "strengthen digital literacy skills and capacity-building in the general population, with special attention to the health workforce, for the use of digital health services
