The CAP4CITY_DM project aims to design and develop a Joint Master in Smart City Management, Governance, Innovation and Sustainability (CAP4CITY+). The programme will be an innovative, high-level, integrated transnational Joint Master's Degree that will provide future leaders in public administration with sustainable competencies, including digital services, digital technology, and disruptive technologies for the management and administration of Smart Cities. The project will directly target the design and implementation of a transdisciplinary and innovative curriculum for governance and management of SSC, which will lead to a more responsive local governance to address societal challenges. The funding will enable the consortium to design and develop a world-class, state-of-the-art curriculum for a two-year Joint Master’s programme, attracting students to join an intensive and comprehensive study period, preparing them for careers in governmental and non-governmental organisations, public administrations, and also qualify students for an academic career. Beyond the development of the joint programme, the project will result in strengthening the transdisciplinary capacity of the consortium and supporting international networking in higher education, as well as establishing partnerships with international organisations, thus allowing the formation of a network among practitioners. A Master Programme specifically dedicated to urban growth and digital transformation of cities must be grounded on a variety of methodological, and interdisciplinary perspectives to educate future actors: from policy to practice.
