The MENU4MEPBIO project aims to strengthen the capacities of partnering organizations to provide new and innovative transnational education and training in the fields of medical physics (MP) and biomedical engineering (BME), answering the growing need for highly skilled professionals in healthcare, industry and academia. The project is implemented by 5 leading European higher education institutions: University of Eastern Finland (Finland), University of Zaragoza (Spain), Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), Lund University (Sweden) and University Dublin College (Ireland). With the University of Eastern Finland as the project coordinator, the partners will co-design and develop a fully integrated and sustainable joint Master study programme in MP and BME at a European scale, which cannot be accomplished by a single university alone. This collaborative initiative will allow students to benefit from the collective expertise of multiple institutions and provide hands-on learning experiences to develop practical skills in the chosen tracks and transferable skills. This project will also provide the partner HEIs with opportunities to improve the quality of their Master level programmes, increase internationalization and competitiveness, and attract talented students from all around the world. The partners will exchange knowledge and best practices through regular communication, meetings, and visits. The promotion of the project will be carried out through various channels including the official website, active engagement on social media platforms, and participation in professional events and networks. The project is expected to have a significant impact on the higher education sector and contribute to the internationalization policies of the partner HEIs. The project aims to benefit the partner HEIs, students, associated industrial partners, and the wider academic community in the field of Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering.
