The MEDIATOR project aims to modernize legal education in Albania and Kosovo by integrating specialized mediation modules into existing higher education curricula. This initiative responds to the increasing demand for alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods to alleviate judicial backlogs and enhance access to justice. Through the development of new mediation courses, the establishment of Mediation Centers, and capacity-building programs for academic staff, the project seeks to bridge the gap between theoretical legal knowledge and practical mediation skills. Collaborating with Mediation Chambers and legal institutions, the project will ensure that graduates are well-equipped for careers in mediation, contributing to job creation and socio-economic development. By fostering partnerships, aligning with EU best practices, and promoting the EU Mediation Directive, MEDIATOR will enhance student employability, improve legal systems, and build sustainable mediation practices in the region.
