Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force, revolutionizing industries and redefining the way businesses operate, make decisions, and interact with customers. Beyond process automation, AI drives innovation by optimizing operations, enhancing customer experiences, and enabling the creation of entirely new business models. While developed countries have widely embraced AI, leveraging its potential for efficiency and innovation, developing nations, including the Western Balkans—Albania, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina—face significant challenges in fully harnessing AI capabilities. These challenges are particularly critical in the Western Balkans, where businesses and educational institutions must overcome barriers to digital transformation and innovation to remain competitive in an increasingly globalized market. Addressing these challenges is crucial to unlocking AI’s potential as a driver of sustainable economic growth and technological advancement in the region. This project proposal aims to establish a cutting-edge Master’s program in AI Applications in Business at Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës (UAMD) while enhancing existing programs at partner Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the region. By introducing modern, interconnected curricula, the project seeks to empower a new generation of business leaders with AI expertise, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and accelerating digital transformation. The specialized Master’s program at UAMD, alongside updated programs at other Western Balkan HEIs, will equip technology professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to address the region's economic challenges. This initiative also aims to position AI-centric education as a cornerstone for driving global competitiveness in countries such as Albania, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The TBEAI@WB project will support Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the WB by addressing gaps in AI-driven business education
