Project summary

The HARMONY project aims to modernize music education in Ukrainian higher education institutions through a comprehensive and sustainable approach. Partnering four Ukrainian regional universities (NSU, KRAHP, ISUH, KhNPU) with two specialized EU institutions (KUL, CSMCL), the project leverages diverse expertise and geographical coverage. The project focuses on developing modernized curricula, enhancing staff training, establishing Specialized Music Learning Spaces, and fostering inclusive education practices. NSU leads overall project management, while KRAHP focuses on infrastructure development, ISUH on quality assurance, and KhNPU on dissemination and sustainability. EU partners contribute expertise in curriculum development and staff training. A multi-level management structure, including a Management Board and specialized sub-boards, ensures efficient decision-making and communication. The project's impact is anticipated across short-, medium-, and long-term horizons, including improved staff skills, enhanced student learning experiences, increased student enrollment, and systemic transformation of music education in Ukraine. A robust communication strategy, encompassing internal and external channels, ensures project visibility and stakeholder engagement. Sustainability is addressed through institutional integration, financial planning, and operational continuity mechanisms. The work plan comprises five interconnected work packages, covering project management, infrastructure development, curriculum modernization, quality assurance, and dissemination/sustainability. These packages follow a structured timeline with clearly defined deliverables and milestones, progressing through initiation, development, implementation, and consolidation phases. The project is committed to creating a lasting impact on music education in Ukraine through a carefully planned and collaborative approach.
