The project strengthens the Third Mission of higher education institutions (HEIs) in Vietnam and the Maldives, positioning them as key drivers of sustainable socio-economic development. By enhancing institutional capacity, stakeholder engagement, and sustainability-focused strategies, the initiative enables HEIs to integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and green development into their governance, teaching, and outreach. Addressing the limited internationalization of non-mainstream HEIs, the project widens participation in Erasmus+ and strengthens institutional frameworks, particularly in underrepresented regions i in Vietnam and HEIs outside the major international hubs in the Maldives. Aligned with national and EU priorities, it contributes to Green Recovery, Good Governance, and Skills & Jobs, supporting EU Team Europe initiatives on Climate Resilience and Better Skills. Key deliverables include a blueprint for institutional capacity building, co-created operational tools for Third Mission strategies, comprehensive training materials on sustainability, and a practical toolkit for inclusive HEIs. These resources, combined with structured mobility programs and international collaboration, will embed sustainability and social engagement into HEIs, fostering long-term impact across education, industry, and society.
