Project summary

ADMIRE aims to advance the growth of Ukraine’s knowledge-driven economy for post-war recovery by reforming the higher education (HE) system. This will be achieved through prioritising advanced research data management (DM) and stewardship (DS) practices across different levels (from National policies to individual academic community members), reflected in the project objectives (OBJs). OBJ 1 - fostering the National reform on DM&DS for the HE system modernisation and EU integration by supporting accreditation reforms. OBJ 2 - introducing existing advanced approaches and creating state-of-the-art recommendations and mechanisms to reform institutional capacity and infrastructure across Ukraine. OBJ 3 - fostering nation-wide institutional integration of contemporary DM&DS practices, enhancing reproducibility and integrity, to ensure students, educators and researchers obtain a comprehensive, contemporary skillset. Project activities and outputs will be aligned with the EU best practices in DM&DS based on sound knowledge transfer from EU partners, involvement of key stakeholders, and supervision by international experts. As structural reform project, ADMIRE brings positive systemic change benefiting diverse target groups (TGs). TG 1 - National authorities (relevant Parliamentary committees, Government, and particularly the Ministry of Education and Science) by offering a roadmap and recommendations to amend legislation on National HE policy on time before upcoming law revisions. TG 2 - public bodies in charge of education and research by providing a policy framework for DM&DS as well as tools boosting the implementation. TG 3 - HEI leadership and managers by developing and piloting data stewards training, data management education and data infrastructure as an institutional toolkit. TG 4 - all members of the Ukrainian academic community by ensuring wider dissemination of knowledge and providing the means to implement and foster DM&DS practices in their work.
