The use of digital technologies in the educational process is a prerequisite for ensuring the quality of higher education. In line with the digital transformation priority, E-QUAL aims at sustainable growth and jobs, and in Ukraine it supports the integration of migrants. The project objectives focus on adopting EU best practices, raising higher education standards and aligning education systems with the evolving digital landscape. The main objective is to improve the quality and relevance of higher education in Ukraine and Bhutan, ensuring its compliance with strategic national development needs, societal expectations and labour market requirements. Key initiatives include equipping state-of-the-art high-tech classrooms in line with the requirements of each country and enhancing the digital competences of teachers. This involves training teachers in AI-driven tools, gamification methods and inclusive digital educators. The project prioritizes the development of high-quality synchronous and asynchronous educational content, especially for students from remote areas and displaced populations, thus promoting equitable access to education. A crucial element of E-QUAL is to promote inclusive education by integrating digital engagement strategies and ensuring broad access to online content. The project aims to strengthen institutional capacity. To ensure sustainability and broad impact, E-QUAL will implement a comprehensive dissemination strategy that will allow the project’s results to be extended beyond the initial participants, stimulating systemic change in higher education in Ukraine and Bhutan. E-QUAL emphasizes the establishment of global academic partnerships, facilitating international research collaboration and the exchange of best practices. The project aims to create a lasting impact on the quality and inclusiveness of digital education, ultimately shaping a more connected and innovative higher education landscape in Ukraine and Bhutan.
