Project summary

.The Theory and Practice of Software Robots (SOFTROB) MSc program is an international multiple-degree initiative addressing the growing demand for software robotics professionals. Involving five universities, Eszterházy Károly Catholic University (Hungary), West University of Timișoara (Romania), University of Macedonia (Greece), Aydın Adnan Menderes University (Türkiye), and Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Yogyakarta (Indonesia), the program integrates robotic process automation (RPA), AI-driven automation, and digital twin technologies. SOFTROB offers a modular, mobility-driven curriculum, combining a common first semester with special semesters at partner universities. Students can focus on AI-driven automation, RPA, digital twins, cybersecurity or social robots, earning degrees from multiple institutions. A mandatory semester abroad ensures international exposure and interdisciplinary learning. To ensure high-quality implementation, the program follows a structured development process. SWOT analyses will be conducted at each partner university, industry feedback will be collected, and multiple consultation rounds will refine the curriculum. This iterative approach will lead to the formalization of a Cooperation Agreement, detailing academic, administrative, and financial responsibilities, and a Student Agreement, outlining mobility obligations, credit recognition, and thesis requirements. Beyond academic excellence, SOFTROB provides high-quality student services, including visa consultation, administrative assistance, and academic guidance. These measures facilitate international mobility and ensure accessibility. The SOFTROB MSc program aligns with Erasmus Mundus objectives by promoting excellence in higher education, recruiting young talents from over the world, fostering student mobility, and addressing the AI workforce skills gap. Its innovative structure stands out among available Erasmus Mundus programs.
