Project summary

Our proposed Joint Masters program, Global Artistic Practice, resonates with the EU’s commitment to fostering resilient, forward-thinking models of artistic education. By merging critical inquiry, creative exploration, and digital expertise, we redefine artistic learning. Digital tools transcend mere instruments, serving as conceptual catalysts that expand studio-based practice into global, hybrid spaces. Grounded in embodiment, tactility, and a (neo)existential sensibility, the program balances local engagement with far-reaching collaboration. Students thus learn to navigate the interplay between tangible media and intangible digital realms, forging a new generation of artists. Key elements include a jointly accredited Master’s curriculum integrating advanced digital tools, a balanced blend of artistic practice and critical theory, and robust digital innovation. The program fosters collaborative projects—ranging from exhibitions and virtual residencies to publications—and provides global showcases through hybrid exhibitions, symposia, and online platforms. While the program supports a select group of students, it also energizes a broader creative community through collective research, exhibitions, and shared projects. Students at partner institutions gain exposure to cutting-edge artistic and digital practices, while faculty benefit from pioneering teaching and research strategies. This collaborative environment sparks interdisciplinary synergy, enabling artistic exchanges that transcend physical boundaries and traditional disciplines. The program reinforces long-term institutional partnerships and advances the global digitization of artistic education, reflecting the EU’s vision of leveraging the digital age for inclusivity, innovation, and sustainability. By doing so, European institutions remain at the forefront of global artistic practice.
