The project addresses skills mismatch, food security, and agricultural sustainability challenges in Nigeria, Ghana, and Sierra Leone, exacerbated by climate change. It introduces biodynamic agriculture to VET institutions, a regenerative farming approach that enhances biodiversity, soil health, and climate resilience while aligning with the EU Green Deal. The initiative aims to improve agricultural training, align VET competencies with global sustainability goals, and raise awareness of VET’s role in climate action. Key activities include developing a tailored training programme, capacity building for VET staff and learners, establishing biodynamic learning farms, hosting agricultural skills competitions, and fostering EU-Africa collaboration. Target groups include VET providers, educators, learners—particularly disadvantaged groups (60%) and women (30%)—and transcontinental agricultural stakeholders. The project is structured around management and coordination, training programme development, capacity building through study visits and competitions, and dissemination for long-term impact. It strengthens African VET institutions, positioning them as leaders in sustainable agriculture and biodiversity conservation.
