B4CVET: Biochar for Circular Economy in Vocational Education and Training Albania's agricultural sector faces significant challenges, including low innovation, weak sustainability practices, and limited vocational education links to market needs. B4CVET introduces biochar-based learning to modernize VET education, equipping learners with practical skills in Circular Carbon Economy (CCE) and sustainable agriculture. The project develops competence-based VET curricula, piloting biochar-related learning modules in Albanian VET schools, integrating hands-on training, industry collaboration, and entrepreneurship development. Learners and educators will benefit from international study visits, interdisciplinary projects, and digital learning tools, ensuring alignment with EU climate and sustainability goals. A strong European partnership (Germany, Ireland, Albania) ensures high-quality outputs, drawing from leading CCE networks like THREE C. The project fosters business-VET collaboration, empowering farmers and SMEs to implement biochar innovations for soil health, water management, and carbon sequestration. B4CVET’s long-term impact includes new job opportunities, increased green entrepreneurship, and stronger industry-VET synergies. By integrating validated competence frameworks and policy recommendations, B4CVET sets the foundation for sustainable VET modernization in Albania, directly contributing to the EU Green Deal and Skills Agenda. With a scalable model, stakeholder engagement, and strong dissemination strategy, B4CVET ensures lasting impact beyond the project’s duration.
