To support the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally conscious society, the GreenVET project aims to build capacity of VET providers and to create a scalable model for integrating environmental components into Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs using digital tools and structured educational methods. By equipping future professionals with essential environmental competencies, the project supports sustainable economic growth and enhances the labour market relevance of green skills provision. Project activities include: analyzing project partners' experiences and mapping existing environmentally-focused curricula in VET institutions, developing new training programmes and a standardized digital tool to assess environmental competencies in vocational education, establishing Eco Hubs for practical hands-on environmental training, training VET teachers to incorporate sustainability modules into curricula, launching the GreenGuide (an interactive guide) and the GreenVET platform to enhance the inclusion of sustainability in vocational training. The project primarily targets VET teachers and students, vocational education institutions, businesses and employers, and policymakers. Expected Outcomes: The project will enhance environmental awareness among VET educators, training at least 200 teachers, with 75% expected to show significant progress in their environmental competencies through the EcoScan digital tool. Training programs will be updated to align with GreenComp standards, and the GreenGuide will be a repository of best practices and successful case studies. Additionally, two Eco Hubs in Ukraine will be established for hands-on environmental training. At least four exchange events will facilitate knowledge sharing, while the GreenVET platform will provide open access to learning materials. By modernizing national education standards, the project will align vocational training with labor market needs and European environmental policies.
