FashionSkills4Better aims to empower VET trainers and educators in the fashion sector by equipping them with key digital, green, and entrepreneurial skills, enabling them to lead the Twin Transition towards sustainability and digital transformation. The project responds to the growing need for skilled professionals who can support SMEs, artisans, and entrepreneurs in adopting innovative, circular, and technologically advanced business models within the fashion industry. Through a specialized online training program, aligned with EntreComp, DigComp 2.0, and GreenComp frameworks, the project enhances the capacity of VETs to integrate sustainable production practices, digital tools, and entrepreneurial thinking into their curricula. This ensures that the next generation of fashion professionals is equipped with the necessary competences to thrive in a competitive and increasingly market. Beyond traditional training, FashionSkills4Better promotes real-world application and multi-stakeholder collaboration through the creation of Living Fashion Labs in Argentina, Uruguay, and Colombia. These labs serve as innovation hubs where VET trainers engage with SMEs, artisans, industry leaders, and policymakers, fostering knowledge exchange and co-creation of solutions tailored to local and global sustainability challenges. The contamination of different actors in these labs accelerates the practical adoption of sustainable and digital practices, enhancing business competitiveness and strengthening the local ecosystem. By bridging VET providers and Fashion ecosystem, the project ensures a strong transnational cooperation between LATAM and Eu, facilitating the exchange of best practices, reinforcing the competitiveness of sustainable fashion businesses at both regional and international levels. FashionSkills4Better is committed to ensuring that its impact extends beyond the project’s duration, fostering a long-term shift towards a more innovative, and responsible fashion sector.
