Project summary

YSBE Net project aims to address the growing need for education and support for social entrepreneurship in several countries, including Romania, Cyprus, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro, with a special focus on building the capacity of organisations working with young people to implement effective and sustainable projects in this field. These countries are undergoing significant social and economic changes, and social entrepreneurship has become an essential tool for solving social issues such as unemployment, poverty, and environmental sustainability. However, there are challenges that hinder the development and growth of social business and youth-focused projects, including limited access to education and training in social entrepreneurship, lack of institutional support, and insufficient awareness of the potential of social entrepreneurship. An important aspect of the project is increasing the capacity of youth organisations to implement impactful social entrepreneurship projects that help young people develop entrepreneurial skills and actively engage in solving social problems in their communities. The rationale behind the project is to strengthen the capacity of youth organisations in these countries to implement successful initiatives in social entrepreneurship. By collaborating with social business experts, developing specific educational resources and expanding international collaboration to organise international events, such as trade fairs, the project will help organisations offer young people practical opportunities to learn about social entrepreneurship and apply it in real-life situations.
