SKILLBRIDGE project, under Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation (Lot 1), strengthens Europe’s innovation capacity by fostering collaboration between higher education, vocational education and training providers, enterprises, and innovation hubs. Addressing the challenges of the digital and green transitions, the project equips learners with future-proof skills while ensuring sustainable cooperation between education and industry. Building on CEDEFOP’s 2023 Skills Forecasts and ETF reports, SKILLBRIDGE tackles skills mismatches by integrating cutting-edge technologies such as AI, blockchain, IoT, cybersecurity, and green tech solutions into higher education and VET curricula. It embeds strategic foresight methodologies, enabling education providers, SMEs, and policymakers to anticipate labor market demands. By leveraging innovation parks, business incubators, and science centres, SKILLBRIDGE establishes an industry-led learning model where students and professionals gain hands-on experience through co-creation labs, challenge-based learning, and work-based training. The project fosters deeper collaboration between education and enterprises, ensuring curricula stay aligned with industry needs. By embedding entrepreneurial mindsets within education, SKILLBRIDGE enables learners to develop competencies to launch startups and drive innovation in deep tech and sustainability. To ensure long-term impact, the project will create the Skills4Innovation Alliance, a non-profit association fostering continued collaboration, policy advocacy, and skills development beyond the project. With a strong focus on dissemination, SKILLBRIDGE will leverage immersive digital storytelling, virtual and augmented reality, and AI-driven knowledge tools to transform its findings into engaging, accessible learning experiences. These initiatives will drive workforce upskilling, support policy integration, and strengthen Europe's competitiveness in the digital and green economy.
