DiverseVET establishes five national Centres of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) for Diversity in Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, and Lithuania, aiming to embed inclusive values into vocational education and training (VET) systems while supporting workforce transformation in the green and digital sectors. By targeting systemic barriers that limit access for underrepresented groups—including women, migrants, ethnic minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, and older workers—the project promotes both social fairness and economic competitiveness. The initiative enhances the inclusiveness of VET provision in green and digital pathways through modular, learner-centred, and accessible curricula at EQF levels 3 to 7. It equips VET providers and SMEs with practical tools and skills to foster inclusive education and employment environments. A flagship component is the creation of dedicated training pathways for DEI-related roles, including inclusive HR professionals, internal and external diversity auditors, and DEI managers. These pathways address emerging labour market demands linked to corporate sustainability and ESG reporting obligations. DiverseVET strengthens regional VET ecosystems by engaging public authorities, civil society, and employers in curriculum co-design, outreach, and policy development. Activities include tailored SME engagement, DEI innovation labs, and awareness campaigns to enhance the attractiveness of inclusive VET models. The project contributes to EU priorities such as the Pact for Skills, the Green Deal, and the Digital Education Action Plan, while supporting regional smart specialisation strategies. By fostering inclusive excellence in education and employment, DiverseVET builds resilient local economies and a socially cohesive Europe.
