International youth initiative Duha Tangram from the Czech Republic and EQUA from Spain The unemployment of young people is recently a big problem in European countries. It is important to involve young people in work activities very soon, otherwise it will be for them much more difficult later. Disabled young people are facing even more complicated situation. For them it is difficult to find a long-term job. This project will show one of the possible ways how to decrease the unemployment rate within the disabled young people - to teach them to create different handicrafts, to present their work, to sell the products and thus increase their competencies. It is important that the young people will get used on the working habits and that they will find it as a common thing. This project will impact the non-disabled people in the surrounding as well; they will see that the disabled people are able to work and be useful, not only that they get a financial support. We are sure that such project can help to lower the unemployment rate, not only among young people. A group of young people from the organization Duha Tangram will take part in this project; there will be 5 visually disabled people, some of them with more disabilities and 5 non-disabled people. In the Spanish group there will be 5 young people with mental disabilities and 5 non-disabled. The integrated groups from both organizations will get basic information about conducting of business, about protected workrooms, legislative in their country, employment office etc. Within the creative workshops they will regularly work on their tasks, they will create different handicrafts and sell them after. They will get lot of new information and improve their manual skills. At first meetings of Czech and Spanish group they will present each other new things that they have learned. For their final meeting in Cadiz in Spain they will prepare lot of different products, they will together present and sell them. The profit of the selling will be given to the Spanish organization, it will be used to buy the material necessary for their training and educational activities. This project will have a very positive impact not only on the participants of this project, but also on participating organizations, other similar organizations and public people who will be involved. Apart from the mentioned impacts, with help of this project we will prepare informational material for future usage that will help to increase the competencies of young people with disabilities and to decrease the unemployment rate.
