School cannot ignore the world outside its gates. Very often, however, it does not reflect the everyday experience of our children. Family life is frenetic and children are constantly having to adapt to programme changes at short notice. There is little time to think. School on the other hand tries to cultivate calm, concentration, reflection, creativity, method and teach children to think and work independently. It is the school's job to create the capacity to stop and reflect, to teach children to solve problems in groups and individually and to share their information, dedicating the time needed to reach their objectives and patiently wait for the results. Teachers therefore have the difficult job of finding the right strategies for these new generations. They need guidance in order to find new teaching methods that will help them to stimulate and win over their pupils.Meeting up with teachers from other countries is a great way of discovering new methods and ideas. We can learn from our colleagues who have already put these ideas to the test. Apart from this teachers will have the chance to open up to different mentalities and to consider pupils and learning from different points of view. It enables teachers to develop and grow and ultimately become better educators. The "sustainable skills for 2032" is a project with the partnership of six primary schools from: Spain, Ireland, Netherlands, Zcheck Republic, Italy and Latvia. The members of the association come from a contact seminar held in Budapest years ago. We all share the same concern about the necessity of a change in methodology to adapt to the modern times we are living. The project will take two years and its aims and goals are:- to promote a methodology change in the schools of the partnership, and extend it to all local schools in the countries of the partnership. - to improve the learning method of our students and integrate new ways of thinking and learning - to practice and improve English foreign language skills in pupils and teachers- To increase the feeling of being part of the european citizenshipness meeting new culture, discovering different traditions- Increase ICT skillsThe expected results are:*A methodology change in all project schools and further dissemination in other schools in the regions of each school.*Raising interest in new methodologies in the communities of the schools.*The improvement of the English language and their appreciation as an added value towards the future. *An ongoing website about the results of the new methodology and to disseminate results. This also will make our project results sustainable.*A professional documentary film about new teaching methodology, which will be used for national innovative platforms.*A book about this new methodology, to download from our site.* Two annexes of the book created by pupils ("key words" and "mindmaps for success!")* A downloadable poster with safe internet research tips for pupils.* An "Enigma book" made by pupils* A video compilation with pupils' plays to learn any topicThe project will have impact on all participating groups, during, and after the project lifetime: students, school staff. Pupils:Will benefit from experimenting a new methodology, getting intercultural awareness, meeting new culture, discovering different traditions; that will lead to a better integration into social and cultural life in multicultural societies. The activities carried out during the project implementation will develop their foreign language and ICT skills. The pupils will learn, through the implementation of the Sustainable 21st century skills, that they are better equiped for their secondary and tertiar education and also for the labour market. By using these skills they will be better employees in the world of 2032.Teachers:Will have improved their teaching methodology as a consequence of the formation called "Sustainable skills of the 21st Century" which consists on an innovative methodology which improve pupil's basic skills. On the other hand, teachers will benefit from the comparing of the different educational systems in Europe, as teachers will talk about the national curricula and the freedom we have for teaching. All participants, pupils and teachers will have improved their foreign language skills, because they will work on the EU common language in a very meaningful way.Participating school: *A possibility to improve the performance of each school.*The recognition of levels of competitiveness*Improvement of the prestige of the school especially through implementation of innovative 21st Century skills learning and teaching methods*An improvement in the collaboration between teachers and parents of pupils as well as the whole local community*A comparison of different school systems, pedagogical approaches and teaching methods
