The project aims to use new technologies to design a new education pathway on sustainable development, through bilingual learning activities and languages discovery in a European context. Initiated by the teachers and coordinated by the CIRDOC - a public patrimonial institution with yearslong commitment toward digital exploitation and innovation - the project in which will takes part the local authority of the four régions involved will create a dialogue between teachers working in an original environnement - plurilingual classroom - focusing on new didactic methods and challenges in digital innovation. We will target our actions on bilingual teachers of the CYCLE 3 by giving them the opportunity to be trained on the following points : - Plurilinguism didactic-Teach in a non language subject-Intercomprehension-Share the practices with the european partners and create common working tools.Cycle 3 teachers will be directly implicated in theses activities during seminars but will be in charge of disseminating all theses actions to all the teachers in all the academic cycle in order to guarantee a better continuity. Regarding the pupils, the missions will be to open them to plurilinguism through exchanges with their european mates, develop knowledges linked to sustainable development , develop a civic-minded attitude and their knowledges regarding european territories. It is about a partner network of four areas: The Val d’Aran ( Spain), Languedoc-Roussillon ( France), Aosta Valley and Piedmont ( Italy). The italian and french partners ( Assessorate for Education and Culture in Aosta Valley) have been working together since 2009 on the issues of bi-plurilingual teaching activities and plurilinguism promotion ( Comenius Regio project : Tales in our tongues). The productions realised during the project ( pupils and teacher) will be disseminated through training actions by the teachers and direct restitution in the professionals networks of each participant. A website will be devoted to the project in order to put online all the activities linked to the project throughout the tools offered by the digital library Occitanica.eu like Campus modules ( current research) and Maleta ( didactic and edutainment modules) which will insure an international pooling of the training courses undertaken of the teaching material produced and the learner’s project. This project will hit a large panel of school establishments, teachers, pupils in this deliminated European zone. At the end of this one, teachers will be most likely to teach in this bi-plurilingual context thanks to the exchanges of good practicises and the development of new working common tools. This will tend to an educationnal proposal more diversified and the decompartmentalization of languages. For the students, it will be about developping their linguistic index just as a reflexive attitude in their way of learning and conceiving one another’s linguistic skills as plurial and scalable. An education of cultural differences and otherness will also put forward.
The Erasmus + journey "Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in our languages, an ICTE course" (" Parcours TICE « l’Éducation au Développement Durable (EDD) dans nos langues »), outlined with the Occitan pedagogical advisors of the Montpellier education authority (Académie) and led by the CIRDOC (Interregional Centre For The Development Of Occitan), has brought together 8 partners in 4 European regions (Occitanie Region, Aran, Aosta Valley and Piedmont) in which 6 languages are spoken : Occitan, Francoprovençal, Catalan, Spanish, French and Italian. All partners completed one another within the project: a local government, a cultural institution, schools of very different types, teachers' associations. - CIRDOC (Centre Interrégional de Développement de l'Occitan) - France - Assessorat de l’éducation et de la culture - Région Autonome de la Vallée d'Aoste - Italy - Escòla Garona de Vielha - Val d’Aran - Spain - Collège Marcel Pierrel de Marvejols - Lozère - France - ANINS-VDA (Associazione degli Insegnanti di Scienze Naturali) - Vallée d'Aoste - Italy - Istituto Comprensivo Giacomo Matteotti de Rivoli – Piemonte - Italy - LEGTPA Rabelais de Saint-Chély-d’Apcher (Lycée d’enseignement général, technologique et professionnel agricole de la Lozère) - France - Istituzione scolastica Valdigne Mont-Blanc de Morgex - Vallée d’Aoste - Italy The project also benefited from the very active participation of the ICTE and Occitan instructors and pedagogical advisors of the DSDEN of the Académie de Montpellier. Our goal? To help teachers and students from these European regions meet, share their experience and work together on the education for sustainable development and the use of new technologies while making the most of a tremendous asset to have this discussion on a European level: whichever country they are from, all participants learn and teach in a bi/plurilingual school environment, where classes are taught in two languages or more. The program took place for two years, to the rhythm of: 4 cross-border conferences and workshops for the training of teachers ; 3 school exchanges between students aged 10-12 from Marvejols (Occitanie Region, France), Vielha (Aran, Spain) and Morgex (Aosta Valley, Italy). collaborative projects undertaken in the classes of all four regions (digital games). Intercomprehension in romance languages was a core transversal working theme within the project. The project ends up having instigated tight collaborative links between the European students and teachers who have worked together toward developing innovating practices ; and helped create reusable educational and didactical tools available to all teachers online, in a lasting way, at occitanica.eu/edd-lengas: - 3 adventure online games about sustainable development and learning romance languages ; the three stoylines (one for each cycle) are built around about 40 mini-games, designed by the teachers during the first year ; - about sixty digital games created by the students ; - didactical worksheets and resources on how to use the games in class - a workbook of 35 science experiments to better understand the environment, offered in five different linguistic versions, corresponding to the languages used to teach classes by the participants (Aranese Occitan, Lengadocian Occitan, Italian, French, English); - 3 complete evaluation kits (one per cycle) to assess the students' digital and linguistics skills as well as knowledge about sustainable development, using the digital games created for the project ; the content of the lectures given for the training conferences. The project has directly involved more than 700 students from "grande section de maternelle" to high school through activities in class ; besides remote corespondences, meetings between the participants have contributed to rich exchanges with 396 student mobilities and 120 teacher mobilities led during two years.
