Project summary

The Event Technology (ET) is one of Europe's most dynamic, fast-growing and innovative industry. There is an increasing demand for qualified professionals in the labour market. Especially in the field of international events and productions such as large events where several nations are involved, the demand for trained specialists in ET is growing.. This cross-border operations require the international flexible and legally compliant use of professionals, particularly with regard to security-related areas. So it is necessary to consider each different standards and conditions in the ET internationally and nationally. At any event, particularly at major events, alongside the technical procedure, the safety of visitors, participants, skilled workers and contributors are of foremost importance. For Europe'se professional training in the VAT there are different and only nationally recognized qualifications available. First bases for international recognition of qualificationes were developed in the previous projects ECVAET and ECVAET 2, to support a transnational exchange of specialists, such as the Competence Matrix and the Safety Matrix, and also a training plan / curriculum for the transnational exchange of specialists. The central task of the present project ECVAET 2.5 is now to build on these foundations to actively suppert the transnational exchange of specialists within a pilot study. Therefor the represented organisations in the consortium are responsible as sending and receiving institutions, but also as educational institution for the implementation of the training priorities identified in ECVAET 2 and for this transnational action. The aim is to exchange professionals between AT / DE / CH / FL. Both substantive and technical training institutions should be involved either as syndicated or external partner. The results will be discussed and evaluated in cooperation with stakeholders from the fields of education and representatives of the event industry. This should boost the discussion regarding a common European vocational education and training for the ET, to continue from the previous projects and to promote concrete solutions towards creating international educational opportunities for the ET.An online platform will be created to support the placement of professionals in the ET and within the project context, which will facilitate the placement offers of receiving institutions as well. This platform can be used beyond the project lifespan and will continue to be managed by the consortium, which then will be available for additional industries as well.To facilitate the transnational exchange of specialists, specific training courses for AT and DE in the form of individual teaching and learning modules are developed on the basis of the existing training curriculum from ECVAET 2. Additionally, these shall be taken up and used by education providers. The modules are designed for the purposes of the implementation of the ECVET concept and are used and tested in accordance with the framework of the planned exchange of specialists. If possible, the use of modern e-learning elements is preferred. These learning modules will be kept fully available for further use to all interested training organisations. For documentation of the training activities in the context of transnational professionals exchange, in addition to the existing European tools such as Euro passport, etc. a new "licenses for European professional event technology" will be developed and used. In cooperation with national chambers and relevant bodies like the IHK in Germany odr the SDBB-CSFO (berufsbildung.ch) in Liechtenstein / Switzerland, this license shall be the future certificate for the international recognized vocational training in the ET.The consortium consists of an educational research organisation, two training providers and the biggest European Association of ET, and a well-known and prestigious company in the entertainment industry. Contact to former Swiss partners from previous projects ECVAET and ECVAET 2 is sought within the project, a collaboration by the Swiss National Funding Authorities are possible. The project ECVAET 2.5 aims to serve as a best practice project, also for other professions and other sectors and will deliver attractive tools that can be taken up by future promoters, reused and adapted according to their needs.

Final report summary
