All three participating schools are facing to the problem of a successful integration of immigrant students. Many of them have different social, cultural and learning obstacles so their school results are poor and the school drop out rate among these students is much higher than among others. At the other side also many national students are not motivated to work enough to achieve better school results. The motivation of both groups of students by using innovative teaching approaches will be one of the goals of the project. The imigrants offen suffer of bad self-confidence and low expetations about their future career possibilities, so the research and presetations of good-ended integration stories will help to believe that their bright future is possible, too. National student need to be educated about the tollerance and respect to people who had to leave everythnig and imigrate far away, too. The research of their national emigration history during the past will help them to face to the fact that immigration not only can happen to everyone but it really happened to their grandfathers not so far ago. That way they will easily understand the importance of helping immigrants to integrate into a new society. Both group often suffer to low motivation and bad learning methods, too, so we will organise workshops to improve their attiitude to the school work, too. About 100 students of each school will be involved in different activities (school worshops, visits to museums and other institutioan, preparing presentations, interviewing immigrants, project meetings..). Students will do different activities: researches of migrations (emigration and immigration) in their oun countries, students workshops, interviews with succesful integrated immigrants and writing their positive life stories. Editing an electronic booklet and organising project meetings will be an important part of a project, too. Next to better motivation and higher self-confidence of all students that will lead to better skills and knowledge and less drop out the electronic booklet will be available for free to everyone and will be used both to encourage the new coming immigrants and to be used at social studies lessons to learn about the national emigration history and to teach students to be tollerant and to accept the cultural, religic and other differences.
