Project summary

The modern world is constantly changing and evolving. To meet the new demands of the market young people need to be creative, resourceful and flexible towards the changes that they are facing in all aspects of their lives. As an educational institution we should prepare students for responsibility and continuous activity. The main objective of the project "Teaching and Learning with ICT" is to improve the attractiveness of education and the quality of work in partner schools by using new technologies in teaching. The project involves schools from five countries: Greece, Turkey, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. In each of the mobilities will participate 28 people (teachers and students) visiting the host school and its community. The project activities will also engage local community and entrepreneurs hosting students at company trips. The main activities of the project are:1) Innovative approach towards teaching by creating and using specialized computer programs at the lessons and attractive teaching methods based on ICT (School in the cloud). 2) Mobilities during which young people will conduct science lessons in English language with the use of ICT programs, tools and take part in ICT workshops and apply ICT in school education. The priority is to increase employment opportunities for young people in the labour market. 3) Development of language competence and qualifications of teachers involved in the implementation of the project tasks in different aspects of life, such as teaching methods, counselling for young people (also those with special needs), in collaborating with parents and local community. It will be fostered by discussions, workshops, webinars and experience exchange. The project will contribute to establishing new contacts at a professional level and support the "flow of ideas" between partners. 4) Developing interpersonal skills and knowledge about the cultural heritage of partner countries in order to understand the process of European integration better. Mobilities will help break down social and mental barriers between the Europeans, develop aware citizens of the united Europe – confident people, open-minded, communicative, able to present their views without embarrassment and at the same time respecting rights of other people. Participating in the project will contribute to the promotion of each school in the local community and increase the attractiveness of schools in the education market.
