Aim;Project is to create learning environments where the education based ,innovative ideas are shared.Those learning environments include 4 workshops which are ,Science ,Art ,Mathematics,Inteligent Games and Robotics.Since this Project puposes to upskill Holistic Learning an international education mobility and cultural interaction are aimed.For this reason we will work with overseas partners who have innovative ideas. Purpose of these communions to reduce the failure, absence,and dropout rate of students of schools in disabled regions. By this means students who are researcher, rogatory, innovative , imaginative and interested in science and information will be reintroduced to society. In the Project which is conducted for risky students in the education performance ,increasing academic performance will be provided by preparing workshops and bringing them in use for all schools.IT literate students are reqired in digital age.They are aimed to be Science literates by enhancing their mental thinking and innovation skills.By teaching teachers and students coding in workshops in our project , the harmful effects of digital age will be minimised .The purpose of workshop studies to enhance the ability of coding and make coding a part of basic education. With the workshop trainings; studies for providing everybody knowledege,value and skills required at global level and providing children,youngs and adults access to qualifed education at all levels will be done. By benefitting from the workshops within summer schools, coninuity of effective education activities ,learning based ,collaborative and constant learning opportunities and use of spare time are aimed.Project patners consist of organisations that support their directors and teachers to create high level skills by having different trainings. By starting STEM-A training at schools , Project partners desire to carry out the Project in need of bringing an innovative perspective to learning and affecting students’ knowledges and skills positively.The most important phase of the studies that intend to increase the outputs of student success and performance is overseas trainings and dissemination of these trainings in at our schools. Bornova Science and Society Center will be participating instution for pilot workshop shemes.One of the Project goal is to share STEM-A activities performed in education environments for each partners in order to support the development of their own education systems .Communions consists of virtual and international mobilities.There will be 8 international mobility in total .First of them is for introduction ,planning, time managing, determining activities.Two international mobilities are on site observation of education practices which teachers and students will attend to.There will be an international mobility where the good practice examples of teachers are shared.Through this workshop we purpose to gather activities that can be used in lessons.Two international mobilities will be in the form of mid-term evaluation on the purpose of following lifecycle of Project, evaluating the studies,and, detecting the flaw.At last ,there will also be international mobilities for the process of creating E-Book and reporting.Logo, brochures ,partners’ studies and products in STEM-A practice workshops will be announced on web page,facebook ,Twitter account.Participants will share the Project introduction, partner’s communication and studies by taking part on blogs, google groups and forums.Robotics projects and products prepared by students in e-twinning training environments will be shared and meetings and sharings will be provided. The aim is to extend the Project with innovative ideas and turn those ideas practice.Creating Web page make student groups of Project to be on social networks and beware of all the stages immediately. Identifying good examples in trainings is aimed by organising authentic course material design contest and STEM-A activity based course perform video contest. Those data will be used for creating activities ,course filesand E-Book.A live broadcast radio programme about the introduction ,application and international activities of Project will be presented at a national offical radio channel .It’s purpose is to announce Stem-a what is significant in education system to the all parts of society.There will be Science Fair at the end of the Project, products of the collaboration of participants will be displayed.On behalf of endearing science, awareness of abilty to design will be created by learning innovative ideas from their peers.Sharing technological products and scientific processes will help everybody to understand.STEM-A examples will compose E-book,consists of course materials, E-book will be presented as a joint publication.Programming and coding with robotics projects will improve the multi-dimensional thinking abilities, provides accomodation to technologic developments.
When Pisa datas’ are considered , it is a fact that our country’s Mathematics and Science literacy is in the very bottom row of the European standarts. This problem has been the starting point of our Project.We started the project to educate our students with the skills of 21st century.We wanted to learn ,use and exchange our experiences with innovative method , Stem+a . We aimed to teach coding first.So they will have a chance to be a person who knows searching, learning by doing , appliying by discovering.As a coordinator , our directorate consists of 64 schools.So we could reach every school ,teacher and students.During the Project stage , both we had a chance to improve ourself and exchanged the good examples and experiences. In our Project we were 4 partners from 4 countries.Both of them were vocational high school , one assosiation and a directorate of education.During Project we made 3 Transnational Project meeting and 4 Learning –Teaching- Training meetings.Totally 77 people had been benefit from the Project directly.At the end of the Project we all observed that the students who had attended the mobilities were very eager to go university.Their motivation had been incresed visibly.The feedback from the students has proved us that we have achieved our aim. Our main activities were ; 1.Stem+A Education & workshops 2.Coding Education 3. Robotics Science Project Competition 4.Summer Courses 5.Designing Original Lesson Material 6.Seminars 7.Video Competition on STEM_A Lesson Implementation. 8.Science fair To make our activities more effective, during the project stage we designed Project logo, brochure and poster.We used the webpage and the social networks effectively.An Etwinning Project had been started.To make better coordination every month the contact people had attended Skype meetings.At the Science Fair , students will interviewed with local TV Channels.An Ebook consists of 50 Stem+a activities had been prepared and sent to all schools ,stakeholders and Ngos. Results and Impact ; The biggest acquisition of our project had been the coding workshops and trainings.Also the number of people who want to participate in in-service courses and number of applications to national competitions had showed us the success of our Project. The biggest gain of our project in our region is to apply the Stem-A model, which is an innovative model and awareness of the importance of coding.Educators were very eager to attend the seminars and workshops.The students who had been our workshops and mobilities had gained an awareness against to skills of 21st century.Not only our students but also our educators had been more conscious about the technological developments and Innovative method ; Stem+A The largest international acquisition of our Project is to give the students a chance on proving themselves and provide self-confidence.Till our Project , being abroad and attending international science fair and Show their products was a dream for our students but with this Project we made their dreams come true.
