Project summary

Language is an integral part of our identity and the most direct expression of culture: it is through language that we socialise, that we organise our thoughts, that we transmit our cultural heritage. The children can acquire a language is quiet easily. But when it comes to adults, who had missed the opportunity to learn a foreign language because of many personal problems or they have been constructing prejudices about learning a language especially due to the language teaching strategies or ways they had faced throughout their learning, they think that learning a language just consists of learning its grammar so they aren’t be able to develop communication skills. One of the main reasons why so many education systems around the world are failing to produce students who can speak a foreign language properly (even at an elementary level) is their strong emphasis on learning grammar as a foundation to speaking. When you see students who have been learning a language for years yet still can’t communicate with that language it’s safe to say that there’s something seriously wrong with the approach they and their instructors have taken (motivation must also be taken into consideration too of course). Objective 1: Main goal of the project and also of the partner organizations is to assist presenting a supportive and friendly foreign language learning environment for adults through ICT who thinks that they are too late to learn a foreign language, helping to make their communicative competence progress visible and increasing learner satisfaction. Objective 2: The adults who had many prejudices about their target languge for instance; they can’t learn a foreign language or even if they could, they won’t be able to speak it with any tourists or native speakers, “Not Too Late to Speak” project aims to break those prejudices and make them ask themselves that Can I achieve it and give a place in the European community. Objective 3: The main aims of this Learning Partnership project is to promote “inclusive and motivating in language learning contexts for adult pupils by enhancing their ability to communicate and co-operate with people across language and cultural boundaries. Objective 4: With the help of project partnerships, we aim to exchange the best experience of promoting foreign language learning and practice of different European institutions, to enhance availability of educational opportunities and conditions. The Adults language learning is organized on the basis of exchanging cultural knowledge and understanding unique ways of life in various European regions. Immersing the adult students in the target language with the partnerships’ helps them use it more independently and this can lead to increased confidence and better vocabulary.Motivation and project aimsBuilding “Communicative Competence”The more you expose your students to the target language, the better. Occasionally, speaking target foreign language may be necessary, but a lot of the time, it is not. Immersing your adult students in the target language helps them use it more independently and this can lead to increased confidence and better vocabulary. The more you learn, use and practise the language, the more accurate and fluent you become. Repetition and practice are essential to many skills, and this is especially true when learning a language. So by means of our project, the adult language learners will be able to find opportunities to promote communication within the intercultural learners and experience the benefits of the language learning to their communicative skills.. Facilitate student interaction across countries. The benefits of knowing foreign languages are unquestionable. Language is the path to understanding other ways of living, which in turn opens up the space for intercultural tolerance. Furthermore, language skills facilitate working, studying and travelling across Europe and allow true intercultural communication. In other words, multilingualism contributes a great deal to the key European values of democracy, equality, transparency and competitiveness. Our project puts adults’ learning into a wider European context and is organized on the basis of exchanging cultural knowledge and understanding unique ways of life in various European regions. At every teaching/learning/trainingactivities organized by 7 partner countries, teachers will experience in-class job shadowing, students will learn how to use English as second language and both the teachers/students will participate in a field trip with other partner schools. their social, communication, professional, linguistic, cultural skills. The added value of this activity that teachers/students will be as follows:- develop English language skills (communication, speaking, comprehension, writing) for both the students and the teachers,- - develop pupils' and teachers' creativity,- develop ICT/multimedia skills and competences of both pupils and teachers
