Multilingualism is one of the cornerstones of the European project and a powerful symbol of the EU's aspiration to be united in diversity. With the priority given to linguistic diversity and the widespread use of smartphones, we came up with the idea of enhancing multilingualism among our students via offering them an opportunitiy to learn some daily expressions of the most spoken European langauges in an authentic environment and supporting them in creating a learning tool. Our project is acronymed as E-Mate and it will be the name of an application which will be our final product and will include the equivalents of useful daily expressions in the languages of the partners. We have conveyed a survey on language learning among 5 partner schools (Turkey, Germany, France, Italy, Spain) and in accordance with the needs analysis we have decided to create a strategic partnership. The main objectives:•We want our students to learn useful daily expressions in the most spoken languages of EU via taking part in authentic language learning activities abroad and making use of the E-Mate application.•We want to widen our students’ vision to see the future in the abilities to be entrepreneurs in software programming which is required by many working sectors.•We want to increase dimension of inclusive education in the EU through offering an equal and friendly educational environment which will include all kinds of students. •We want our students to understand and increase their appreciation of their own as well as other languages and cultures.•We want our students to gain a better understanding on how they learn and what strategies to use to improve their learning.•We want to create synergy among young people through language learning/teaching tutorials.•We want strenghten teaching profile via learning new innovative methods involving ICT and exchanging good practices •We aim to develop interaction among the partner schools.•We want offer a mobile solution for communication problems of Erasmus+ beneficiars and all language learnersThe main products/activities:•an Application (e-tool) which will include the script-sound equivalents of useful daily expressions in the most spoken languages in the EU• a Logo• a Website• a Twinspace• a Seminar • 2 Calendars• 3 Theatre Plays• Booklets• Posters• Brochures• Tutorials• Social media groups• Workshops• PPTs (Cross-Cultural Communication and Linguistic diversity,How to prevent early school leaving,A linguistic Survival Kit)•Organizing authentic learning/teaching/training activities in transnational meetings to learn the participating languages in real world situations, to test and implement the application.•Building a website, an e-Twinning desktop and creating accounts in social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Youtube to promote, evaluate, disseminate the project results on a global level. There will be 40 students and 40 teachers mobilities in LTT activities and approximately 5200 students and teachers from 5 partner schools, more than two times of this number the parents of the students and a great number of Erasmus+ beneficiars/language learners will benefit of the results of the project directly or indirectiy. Our main methodology in this project is based on Authentic Learning and ICT which is realistic and feasible in terms of learning languages in real world to better interiorize the expressions and use of ICT through creating, testing, implementing the application. The results and impact:•All the products above will be created.•Our students will improve multiligual communication skills, be entrepreneur in software programming, gain a better understanding of their own as well as other languages/cultures, improve their language competences by teaching their own mother tongue to other students and gain a better understanding on how they learn and become more active, creative, confident and independent individuals•Our teachers will learn innovative ICT teaching methods, exchange ideas and teaching practices•Our schools will increase their quality of education•Erasmus+ beneficiars/language learners will overcome some communication problems and improve their personal qualifications The E-Mate Application, website and twinspace will live on long after the project is completed through being updated and enriched.
