Our project''LET'S PLAY OUTSIDE'' focuses on European Commision's prioirites and the needs of our students and schools will give a new dimension at European level,by creating a social, enthusiastic ,healthy and initiative generation. Most of the students play computer games and spend time in social network sites using their smart phone inside house. This kind of spending time activities are detrimental for children's growth. They will grow healthy, learn better, make friends and have more fun if they go outside. Our pupils will gain both physical and mental advantages with outdoor activities that brings long-lasting effects.Over the years the children will be more active and less likely to be overweight .We will demonstrate that pupils will be healthier ,happier and more successful than today and in the future they will be more rational, outgoing, motivated and entreunership citizens through our project. In addition we will improve the effectiveness of our teaching by obtaining new skills and teaching strategies.Related to this project, we have a background experience in eTwinning through the project ''traditional games'' that we carry out with a partner from Malta. Our pupils were really motivated and happy while they are performing the games outside. This was our starting point to continue in Erasmus + platform and collaboration with European partners. Our aim is to canalize our students to outside activities by cooperating with European schools and sharing knowledge and ideas. Our students will develop ICT skills and conciousness of European citizenship by means of this project. We are five partners in this project,Turkey,Romania,Latvia,Portugal and Italy.Schools from Romania and Turkey have never participated in any project, but other schools have commenius experience. All partners have really qualified and experienced teachers and clever and eagered students for this project. All of us are agree that our pupils have to leave their phones and go outside and make more friends and get a better life with fun.Steps of our project: *creating project teams, informing students and families, creating a website *preparing 'our city&country'presentation, desinging logo and poster, preparing Erasmus corner *creating etwinning project &facebook group to communicate and disseminate *preparing christmas cards and a calendar and a puzzle leaflet *organizing a competetion for desinging t-shirt and stamping *drawing ground games in school yards and at parks and playing with parents *organizing a week game and applying a questionnaire to students at the end of first and second years. *preaparing CDs and creating a DVD about ground games *organizing two transnational meetings and three learning teaching training mobilities to plan, monitor and evaluate * preparing questionnaires to evaluate the project to teachers and parents at start, during and at the end of it *writing project reports after each activity to have a clear view on the achieved objectivesOur project is a partnership based on multiple levels of collaboration in order to create a strong relationship among the European countries. To achieve our aims we want to do above activities. While we are doing this activities we would like to remain a great impact on target group students, teachers, schools, parents and whole community. In order to increase the impact we will do dissemination activities.People will visit our website and facebook group, they also follow us from TVs,magazines and local newspapers. We will give seminars to students, parents and other school's teachers .We will use brochures, banners, leaflets, tshirts and ground games as spreading tools. On the other hand ,after each activity ,we will measure the qualitative and quantitative effects by using questionnaries, reports and interviews .In order to control and evaluate we will always keep in touch through skype, etwinning, email and webinars.According to their skills and competences each partner will take place in management of project.Budget and time management, monitoring, dissemination and evaluation and other tasks will be distributed fairly.Short term impact of our project ;Students will leave their PCs and phones and deal with outdoor activities then they will have better school results and better relations with friends and parents, they will socialize and feel to be considered important.long term impacts of our project:Our pupils will be healthier, they will gain European identity, they will get increase in entreunership and personal development and more interest in learning foreign languages.Impacts on teachers, schools, parents and whole community will be strong through our project.Teachers will develop new teaching strategies and gain European experience.Parents will interest more with their children and they will get positive attitudes towards the EU values and local authorities and local community will support our idea.
Our common problem is ; in recent years, our chıldren always use their tablets, smart phones and personal computers at home, even they bring them to school.Instead of playing with their friends, they play games or spend time in social network sites at breaks.Related to this problem we and all our partners applied a questionnaire to our students. When we evaluated these questionnaires and face to face interviews with parents of students and teachers we detected that we must provide more opportunities to our students to go and play outside,to do sports and to join cultural activities. On the other hand ,chıldren who sit and eat in front of PCs or with smartphones, get overweight day by day ,in addition they became introverted and unsocial unfortunately.Last generation are losing their health and health is the most important thing in life. For this reason,we created and carried out the project. Objectives of the project: -decreasing usage time of smart phones and PCs for students -diverting students to go outside,to do sports and to join cultural activities -getting better school resuts and increasing success -improving learning abilities and reducing early school leaving -stimulating social and linguistic intelligence -getting consciousness of European citizenship for future -improving speaking and understanding English abilities -cooperating with different countries and cultures for innovation. -sharing knowledge and ideas among European countries -developing ICT skills of students and teachers -sharing and exchanging good practices with other European countries -raising the parent's awareness on the harmful side of technological devices Number and profile of participating organisations; We are five partners,Turkey,Italy,Latvia,Portugal and Romania. All of us similar secondary schools with the students at 12-15.We and Romanian school were unexperienced about projects, but Portugal,Italy and Latvia were experienced about European projects.
