Project summary

Our project focuses on the importance of knowing a foreign language to get a better job, career. As a result of this we expect that the project will contribute to one of the impacts on persons“greater understanding and responsiveness to social, linguistic and cultural diversity”stated in the Erasmus+ program. Consequently, throughout the project we will be able to identify and celebrate each others’ similarities and differences and develop mutual understanding, respect and tolerance. At the same time, students will communicate on the Internet via emails, Facebook accounts and Skype to exchange information about the project products they create together. The objectives of this project are: 1.To make the students aware of the importance of knowing foreign languages for a better professional perspective. 2.To improve the participants' skills in communicating/using foreign languages by extra-curricular activities. 3. To learn about common roots in terms of history, customs, traditions and language. 4.To promote tolerance among participants by sharing each other's culture. hese objectives will be achieved by activating in some mini-clubs. a) Extra-curricular activities club in foreign languages and Mother tongue b) Language club c)ICT club d) Perfect job club e)Photos and videos club. All the results that will be created by the help of these mini-clubs, such as : Professional orientation Portofolio, videos, booklet, multi-lingual dictionary, ”We are the best actors”-DVD-s, will be disseminated internal and external. Also, every partner will organize in the hosting meeting a conference where they will invite authorized persons to talk about the labor market and where teachers and students from all schools in town will be invited. Our work will be presented at its every step in local -media , website, etwinning , facebook accounts, youtube channel, just to make sure we will have a proper dissemination for this project. There are 5 partners in this project: Germany,Turkey,Romania, Portugal and Italy. They are all secondary schools, with almost no career consoler, that realized how important is for their students to choose a perfect job. The participants of the transnational project meetings will be chosen carefully. The foreign language teachers and the students who have difficulties to learn a foreign will be the participants of transnational project meetings. The partners who prepared this project realized that the foreign languages are very important for a better perspective in their lives and they have decided to make students and others aware about this thing. We wish to make students aware of their need to improve their communicative skills in foreign languages as a way to better succeed in life regarding their job. Indoor education, following the curriculum,is not always agreed by students and this is why we will create a different learning environment within the project. Students feel free to communicate in a foreign language when they aren't evaluated or assessed by a teacher. Errors are accepted as long as students understand and they can make themselves understood, thus, they will get rid of fears and get encouraged communicating, using what they already know and unconsciously improving their communicative skills. The initial idea of this project is to show how a foreign language can be learned by extra-curricular activities,in addition to curriculum based ones. Then we realized that our students really need career guidance and after the SWOT analyze we decided to work on this topic and, by the help of this project, to make our students realize that they need to know foreign languages to get a better job. Teachers won't be only teachers but, learners at the same time. Learning a new language is not only interesting but also increases one's knowledge about the culture and lifestyle of the people of that specific country. In our local context this project is relevant as far as it allows us the opportunity to help improve the quality, attractiveness and accessibility of learning opportunities;through joint educational activities and mobility of pupils and teachers we intend to: -make learning opportunities a tool to promote social cohesion, active citizenship, inter-cultural dialogue, gender equality and personal fulfillment; -promote creativity, competitiveness and growth of an entrepreneurial spirit. -promote language learning Our project will bring up the importance of foreign languages in creating a better perspective for the students' future career as a key to the door for their future. Thus we expect that there will be a contribution of the project to the students to have awareness on the learning a foreign language. They will discover that even if they are from different cultures and religions, they are so much alike and they will learn what tolerance means.
