Project summary

Based on the exchange of experiences, we intend to detect those key actions in the field of European education which are successful educational activities, disseminate them and apply them in other countries, giving reply to: 1. the reduction of absenteeism 2. address situations of disadvantage with minors and their families 3. Enhance the skills of educational professionals. We will work as a network, and create open multimedia educational resources, which can be afterwards references of key actions. It involves 15 partners, which defines the heterogeneity and complementarity of the project. We assume the complexity of the number of partners, and higly value the previous experience of joint work of some of its members in other projects and the attitude and commitment shown by all 15 partners. The number of partners, given the commitment expressed in previous contacts and meetings and the number of countries involved, is an asset of the project. It takes place in Velilla de San Antonio, Turin, Evora, Brussels, Berlin and Budapest, with the aprticipation of 7 schools with a high percentage of students at risk of social exclusion. The project will involve more than 200 teachers and over 1,000 pupils. 15 artists, more than 50 public educational technicians, volunteers and university students in practices will actively collaborate. The key will be a coordinated work between teachers, children, their families (600 people) and the socio-educational community in general. We expect at least 4,300 direct and indirect beneficiaries. Open educational resources will be iellaborated to implement the project in other centres/entities, using a WIKI space a its dissemination tool. The agglutinating activity of the project will be a video-book of short stories and a short film of the representations of all created stories (performances of dance, theatre, exhibitions...), creating a space for the exchange based on the research on our personal and cultural realities (traditions, tales, multiculturalism and other capabilities...). Each municipality will hold 1 transnational meeting (6 meetings in total) attended by all members,. The meeting will enable all partners to get in contact with differentiated and specific practices of each partner/collaborator. These meetings will include coordination meetings - exchanges of good practices, with the presence of partners and representatives of the educational communities of the organizing municipality. The project includes training action with families, teachers and educational professionals of partners and collaborators. Trained people will revert their learning to their communities. The project includes a process, end and starting evaluation, and we will submit a final external evaluation report. A differentiating element is that the work is carried out during school hours, allowing us to work with the entire educational community as an element of standardisation. It will be a practical and participatory program aimed to facilitate social cohesion, reduction of absenteeism and improvement of learning motivation. External agents (artists) are incorporated to show other perspectives and points of view. TThe objectives coincide largely with the expected results: 01 Apply and extrapolate all educational keys of success identified and implemented during the life the project. 02 Create a permanent network with the aim to improve the competences of teachers, using methodologies based on art that develop emotional intelligence. 03. Training of more than 200 teachers. They participate, exchange experiences and acquire new tools, applying new educational keys of success in their own centers, in order to improve skills, social cohesion, and overcome children learning and behavior difficulties. 04 Training of families of students. They need to be co-trainers of their children in different areas: establishment of guidelines and limits, address cultural and generational diversity... 04. Results reach more than 1,000 students: the project is aimed to improve their competences, their learning motivation and social cohesion. 05 Preparation of materials that allow the implementation of the results. 06 Reduction of absenteeism, learning problems and levels of demotivation. 07 Creation of a stable international team among participants who will promote exchange, and use the WIKI space for resuls and best practices dissemination. 08. Training of 15 artists in the field of education, as well as volunteers and interns 09 Continous work with the local communities, from a perspective of gender, interculturalism, equity and citizenship. 10. The project will be spread by/between educational administrations of each municipality. 11. As verified in the evaluation report, participants will be highly satisfied with the training and exchange activities experienced.
