In a context of culturally focused communities and rising of the extremisms, it is important to work with our European partners on common ideals and values to instil in our pupils the desire to go beyond themselves , to share, to accept the other in order to build a more human Europe with common ideals. We want to enable them to grasp, in a concrete and transferable manner the diversities of our cultures as well as the common bedrock on which they stand. In a world in search of point of references, the European pupils feel a need to exchange on the values which will allow them to become creative, open minded and perfectly adaptable (to changes, progress and differences) . Each one of these schools share this feeling and has, according to its own needs, worked on these notions. The confrontation of ideas and the dynamic which will thus occur will make it possible to carry on with this task by adding to the theoritical knowledge the use of IT so as to confront, exchange and make their own conceptions evolve and progress. The common work will lead us to establish a sort of vade-mecum of the European heroes designed by the pupils and to imagine motivating activities to make them act in compliance with the principles they will have established together. Whilst preparing the project, in the context of 2017, we have decided to include the situation of the migrants in the issue. We believe that their personal situations and the comitment of the different institutions acting in their favour are examples of "heroical" acts and could be a practical and formative illustration for the pupils taking part into the project. It will encourage them to act in such a way. The "heroe" booklet offered to the migrants and the meetings with them would consist in tangible proofs of the success of our approach. We wish to set up clearly recognizable activities which make the pupils act in order to create "finished products", the completion of which will depend upon the team work, the exchange of ideas and the skills to create and innovate of each member. These principles will determine the setting up of the following activities : creation of an electronic book in 6 languages on the heroes chosen in commun with an overview of their psychological profile, pleas to defend the choice of heroes, creation of a booklet to offer to the migrants, creation of the annual " my heroic year " calendar, exhibitions, (topics, heroes, activies), interviews of ordinary heroes, meetings with migrants or institutions, concrete actions within the schools to put the principles into acts, creation of a play telling the imaginary meeting of our heroes acting for a common cause, portrait of the heroes of the European construction, letters to the herroes of the future, short films on the way each country honors its heroes, exchanges to to create the finished products, internal and external communication (posters, logos, songs, web site, Twinspace, Facebook), contribution to myhero.com, dynamic assessment. The pupils will use IT at each step of the creation of all these diverse products. It will provide them with even more skills. We have also wished beforehand to assign to each partner a list of clearly identified tasks, according to its specificity so that each one bring its benefit in a diverse but eqal way. The completion of each activty by the pupils follows this principle 1. preparatory work and thinking in each school : MY HERO 2. confrontation, exchanges, changes : YOUR HERO 3. Creation of the common final product : OUR HERO Drawing on their experience, the partners will commit to value the common work by assessing its results, disseminating its products using the specific tools and devices of the EU (Twinspace, certificates,etc.). We decided that the realisation of our activities will be clearly identifiable and tangible so as to motivate our pupils and to check, at each possible stage, according to the preestablished schedule that they have been carried out. This is more relevant to the age and maturity of the beneficiaries (Secondary schools). Accordingly, the activities which will committ ourselves to lead will create final products the impact and the diffusion of which will be made easier. To check the acquisition of skills by the pupils, we will make endeavour to use a reliable assessment (certificates after each mobility, CEFRL assessment, assessments by skills ,etc.) Number of beneficiaries of the mobilities: (100), in each school (100), external(institutions, parents, migrants, etc) 300. This project will contribute to enhancing these fundamental values: liberty, equality, pluralism, tolerance, justice and solidarity.
The main objective of the project "My hero, your hero, our heroes" was to confront the cultures of the five partner countries to highlight among the heroes of each country, common values that cement our European conscienceand humanity, values that we, as educators, must perpetuate. The objectives of this project were to : - Retrace the experience of heroes to discover the deep meaning to make it meaningful ; - Establish scales of values and make them alive ; - Justify the choices of heroes by public pleadings, share the analyzes of their profiles ; - To create exchanges based on our cultural differences as well as our common values and to make them respected ; - Learn about citizenship and associated values such as tolerance and solidarity ; - Being able to describe Europe through its heroes to the new migrant population and highlight the commitment of those who welcome them. The project was aimed at secondary school pupils aged between 13 and 15, most of them. Students were given the opportunity to perform the same tasks in each participating school, and their results were compared later. They also had the opportunity to meet personally or communicate with students from other countries during learning activities, group exchanges students and online communication and cooperation. As a result, students have developed skills of collaboration, tolerance andopen-minded. They had the opportunity to know the culture, history, traditions and daily habits of other countries. This has resulted in the breaking of prejudice, the evolution of opinions and attitudes towards other cultures. These intercultural meetings allowed students to develop their skills faster than the only school environment and to eliminate the fears of speech in a foreign language through possibility to use it in the real context. Students had a wide range of opportunities to use ICT technologies while preparing presentations, doing research, writing blogs, reporting and communicating with their correspondents and their skills in this area have improved considerably. The project enabled students to learn, especially foreign languages, their interpersonal communication skills, their independence, their responsibility and the tasks assigned to them. They have learned to work in groups or individually, to manage their free time, to make wise choices in this area, to react in unforeseen situations. To achieve the objectives of the project we applied different methods : interviews, individual and collective surveys, aptitude tests, self-control questions, competitions, quizzes, workshops, trips, artistic works, conferences.
