Project summary

All agricultural activities, including the production of food is dependent on the electricity at practically all stages. The greater is demand for electricity, the more modern and high-tech technologies are used for its production . It also increases with the growth of farm and new investments. In many rural areas, aging infrastructure, energy systems and a chronic lack of funds for new investment leads to economic and civilization collapse. This leads to the impoverishment of people, increase of unemployment, and even emigration. Ensuring supply of agro-energy plant and disposal, would reverse these negative processes, would reduce the negative social phenomena and enabled sustainable development of local entrepreneurship, based on local natural resources and local renewable energy sources (RES). Strong and effective support of the development of renewable energy can be a way to improve farm budgets agricultural and other businesses involved in the production of energy and construction and operation of systems, agro-bio-energetic. In Europe, there are a number of different levels of renewable energy sources in rural areas. Western European countries in this respect are much better developed than the countries of Eastern Europe. The subject of agricultural RES plants is quite new in Poland. On the basis of analyses conducted before the project prparation, there is a very strong interest in small plants of agricultural farmers. Document entitled "Polish Energy Policy until 2030" assumes that by 2020 each municipality will create RES plants. Therefore, first of all it is necessary to support educational efforts to disseminate knowledge on agricultural RES plants. A similar situation as in Poland takes place in the partner countries of the project that is in Turkey, Slovakia and Bulgaria. Those projects will be the basis for the transfer of knowledge in the project URESA. The project will be greatly expanded and modernized by adding module on RES plants and the entire project will be adapted and dedicated for farmers and residents of rural areas. All the projects products will consist of the curriculum and later, interactive e-learning course which will be available online and will consist of the 7 modules on the topics of RES, with the introductrory module at the beginning. The structure of the curriculum and the training content will be innovative and will give competences of the professinals from agriculture (farmers) VET teachers of agricultural school on the high level. There will be implemented the European Qualifications Framework (EQF)up to Level 5. That approach to the teaching materials will fulfill the European education framework. The following modules will be elaborated: Module 0 - Introduction - basic information about the RES Module 1 - "Energy from agro-biogas" Module 2 - "Energy from biomass" Module 3 - "Energy from solar " Module 4 - "Energy from water" Module 5 - "Geothermal energy" Module 6 - "Energy from wind"

Final report summary

Project URESA has been focused on the topics related to producing green energy from renewable resources available in rural areas and possible to acquire from agricultural production. In Europe, there are a number of different levels of renewable energy sources in rural areas. Western European countries in this respect are much better developed than the countries of Eastern Europe. The subject of agricultural RES plants is developing very fast in Eastern Europe. According to the need analyses conducted before project and noticing this fact during project implementation there is a very strong interest in small plants of agricultural farmers. That’s why we have elaborated high quality of the training materials to disseminate knowledge on agricultural RES plants. The project has been dedicated for farmers and residents of rural areas. The project products consist of the curriculum and interactive e-learning course which is available online and consist of the 7 modules on the topics of RES, with the introductory module at the beginning. The structure of the curriculum and the training content gives competences of the professionals from agriculture (farmers) VET teachers of agricultural school on the high level. Training course consists of following modules: Module 0 - Introduction - basic information about the RES Module 1 - "Wind energy" Module 2 - "Water energy" Module 3 - "Solar energy " Module 4 - "Geothermal energy " Module 5 - "Biomass energy" Module 6 - "Biogas energy"
