Ethics in business, corporate social responsibility and sustainable development of businesses have been gaining on importance during the last decades. This is related not only to increasing awareness of entrepreneurs but also to practical implications. Socially responsible business does not focus only on generating profit, administrative and financial issues, but has also positive influence on environment, local communities and all participants, who are involved in social and economic activity. Implementing the assumptions of CSR, sustainable development and other ethical issues is a must in the present world of business activity. The idea of the project was the result of research, observation, experience and exchange of ideas between project partners and other stakeholders. Many documents published in the European Union as well as worldwide have been analysed. Although many projects related to entrepreneurship, sustainable development and social responsibility have been already developed, none of them has taken into account international dimension involving immigrant entrepreneurs and developing training courses for both trainers / educators and potential entrepreneurs / managers. This project is of educational nature and will be using innovative educational tools and methods as well as exchange of and promoting good practices in the European dimension. Our horizontal priority refers to social inclusion since the project addresses mainly micro and small entrepreneurs including those of migrant background, who live far away from academic and training centres. They do not have many opportunities for development, especially access to business training in ethics, therefore we would like to promote social inclusion in training and workplace - foster the development of social, civic, intercultural competences, media literacy and critical thinking, promoting the ideas of ethical business. Due to misunderstanding of CSR and sustainable development assumptions immigrants often cannot fully integrate with the local and regional business communities – in this field appropriate training is a must. As a sectoral priority we have chosen further strengthening of key competences in VET. The acquired competences and skills will be at high level of expertise due to commitment of scientists, lecturers, teachers, trainers and experienced entrepreneurs in the area of CSR and sustainable development. The developed material, which will be available as OERs will also shape the attitude and mindset towards these issues. The third priority is related to systematic approaches in professional development of VET teachers, mentors in VET and work-place settings. By developing training material available in digital form online for educators, trainers , teachers and mentors we would like to promote the idea and affect the attitude towards the proposed issues. Flexible training modules will enable the choice and adjustment of the training material and its implementation to various target groups taking into account their individual needs. The consortium consists of 6 partners from 6 European countries: Germany, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Poland and Spain. They represent various educational and ICT related institutions with rich experience, what ensures that the project objectives will be met and all the material will be produced at the highest quality fulfilling the modern standards. The partners will share their experience and promote the projects’ outcomes. The choice of partners enables balanced sharing of experiences in CSR field as well as multi-faceted cooperation in the fields of education, ICT, content production and dissemination. The main intellectual outputs will include the study on specific needs related to CRS and sustainable development training in micro and small enterprises in partner countries, a good practice guide, a handbook for trainers, curricula for training courses for both entrepreneurs and trainers, training courses for entrepreneurs and trainers as well as in-class and on-line pilot courses. These outputs will be disseminated through various kinds of activities, including promotion on partners’ websites, round tables, conferences, social media, networks, cooperation with stakeholders and local authorities. The material will be available as OERs, therefore can be used by institutions and trainers after the project’s has ended. Additionally 60 trainers will be trained to further disseminate and promote project’s ideas. They will act as multipliers and promoters of the project’s outcomes. The partner institutions, most of which are training providers, including VET and higher education institutions, as well as cooperating institutions will be using the material produced in their training courses. It will be included in e-libraries as well as incorporated into study courses at economy, management and entrepreneurship faculties.
