The aim of the project "Coding, Robotics and Digital Teaching in Europe" which we want to realize in The Franciszek Leja State School in Grodzisko Górne as a coordinating country as well as partners Ciro Scianna from Italy and Kecskeméti SZC Gáspár András Szakközépiskolája és Szakiskolája from Hungary, is to achieve better general digital abilities by its participants. Another superior aim of the project which will last from 1st November 2017 to 31st October 2019 is to arrange cooperation and exchange of good practises among cooperating institutions from Poland, Italy and Hungary in the area of coding, roboticks and programming. Cooperation among these countries relates to teaching programming in particular programming languages. The project is a consequence of growing demand for knowledge in ICT and robotics as well as growth of using ICT aspects in everyday life. Participants of the project are groups of 8 to 12 students from each country and 4 teachers - English teacher, ICT and robotics teacher and technology teacher from each project country. Students will be chosen on the ground of achievements in ICT and robotics, English language level as well as subjects marks and behaviour. ICT and related subjects like robotics or English in ICT and robotics have been becoming the key subjects in modern world. The main aim of a school system change which is going to be introduced in Poland is to enhance the importance of prospective subjects like ICT and related subjects. Introducing subjects like ICT, algorithmics, robotics and pure programming as early as possible in school age should be introduced in a simple and ludic way. The idea of teaching through playing will be for children and teenagers the best way of gaining knowledge and will encourage them to gein knowledge on their own. More and more often children play different kinds of plays using modern technology and mobile apps, that's why the idea of creating by them new games and mobile apps should be accepted by both children and parents. There are planned different kinds of mobilities during the project realization connected with workshops, learning and taking part in robotics competitions. All participants taking part in the project will be involved in two, lasting from 6 to 8 days mobilities to its partners. It will be connected with participating in workshops and robotics tournaments as well as exchange of good practises, games and apps creating which will result in creating a new game from the beginning and make it accessible online. Project metodology include active participating , modeling, copying good practises, creative acting, using modern technology in learning and teaching process, peer learning, support learning and teaching through experience exchanging as well as developing new ways of work. Among expected results of the project are growing interest of coding and programming , paying attention to the importance of ICT learning in the meaning of programming from the early school age , knowledge and competence growth among participants of the project and wider involvement in international projects. Long lasting results on the international level will be long-standing cooperation among the partners extending project duration and increasing number of robotics and ICT tournaments participants on national and international level. In long-standing term there are also better results of our teams taking part in different robotics tournaments, cutdown the level distance between our participants and the best teams from the world and changing the ICT and programming teaching approach.
Project "Coding, robotics and digital teaching in Europe" was realized from 1st November 2017 to 31st October 2019 by three schools: Franciszek Leja State School in Grodzisko Górne as a coordinating country as well as partners, Ciro Scianna from Italy and Kecskeméti SZC Gáspár András Szakközépiskolája és Szakiskolája from Hungary. Superior aim of the project was to arrange cooperation and exchange of good practises among those schools in coding, robotics, science, English and programming in particular programming languages. Another one was to attract students' attention to those subjects and it was successful. In main project activities were involved groups from 8 to 14 students and 3 teachers from each country in each year. Students were chosen on the ground of ICT and robotics achievements, English language level as well as subject marks and behaviour. All the planned project activities were fulfilled. Among those were 4 short-term exchanges of groups of pupils, 4 transnational project meetings, events connected with promotion of the project matters, Erasmus+ programme and partner schools, common pupils' learning during mobility and taking part in competitions. The promotion and information activities were undertaken all the time through the project durance. It took place during conferences, competitions, breaking a record of Poland in the number of robots operating in one place at the same time, through promoting materials, press articles and TV news. The project had a positive influence on all schools. More students became interested in robotics and programming as well as started to attend robotics and programming classes, which was especially seen in Ciro Scianna, where more students chose this school because of the fact that there are additional coding and robotics classes. Besides, students started to attach a greater importance to English learning. Once began cooperation among schools is continued. Teachers also realize what profits fallow the participation of international projects. It was easier for students to get to high school because of achievements in robotics competitions.
