Recent terrorist attacks and cyberattacks raised question on information security in EU-countries. Intelligence Profiling is a project that aim to increase quality skills and standards of trainings about skills related to intelligence and information security. Intelligence is a core process of governmental entities and companies. Well recognized by governmental entities, the information security is often underestimated by companies. In fact, today is rare to have intelligence departments in companies and skills related to information security are not included in job profiles. One our main goal is to diffuse the intelligence culture in order to increase information security. We focus our attention not only on technical issues related to information security, but also on human factors. In fact, today most of human errors are not due to technological vulnerabilities but to human vulnerabilities, stressors, psychological variables. At the end of the project will four intellectual outputs. These outputs will be available and open: 1 - two profiles for intelligence employees: usable during personnel selection processes 2 - an operative guide for intelligence techniques: elicitation, counter-elicitation, human factor in intelligence 3 - a course for enhancing intelligence skills 4 - e-learning platform Our partnership includes organisations from Romania, Italy and Cyprus and includes experts from a very broad range of field of intervention: intelligence experts, members of intelligence services, professors, psychologist, psychotherapist, experts of profiling and crisis intervention. We believe that the presence of different professionals will increase the final quality of outputs, mixing different and complementary points of view. We planned a detailed dissemination program in order to increase the diffusion of the project. Zivac Group Central has a connection with Serviciul Roman de Informatii - the Romanian Intelligence Service the main beneficiare of the project. This direct connection will be very helpful in diffusing our project and also to open critical questions about national security. The international partnership will also increase cooperation between nations, the diffusion of "intelligence culture" and effective exchange of good practices and innovation in the field. Our dissemination plan envisage also a strong activity on the internet in order to sensibilize key employees in companies and also the general population to information security.

At the end of the project, 3 intellectual results were elaborated. These results will be available and open on the project site. IO1 - O1 result This result consisted mainly in conducting a research that highlights the state of intelligence in Romania and in the partner countries and a history of information services, in order to have a comparative picture of the level of evolution both in the public and in the private part. Each partner conducted the research for their country and ended with a common document, covering all the research. The second point of IO 1 was the construction of a common profile for the partner countries of the information worker by identifying a set of competences, skills needed to work in this field, with which we developed with the help of experts from each partner country the proposal of a profile as much. for the operative as well as for the information analyst. Brochure - Research study in Intelligence Profiling, contains 72 pages. IO2- O2 result Together with experts from partner countries, we have developed a handbook that will be used by information workers "Intelligence Profiling". The manual was structured as follows: A total of 180 pages divided into 8 chapters. In each chapter there are 18 pages of theory and 4 pages of practice found in exercises which will deepen the theory and help to better build the knowledge accumulated by navigating the manual. The information workers who will use the handbook are the ones who collect and analyze the information they then provide to the decision maker to help choose their decision options. The assumption is that accurate, comprehensive and timely information will lead to more effective choices of decision makers. IO3- Course support for information operators An innovative training program has been developed for information staff and all key employees who have access to sensitive data. The information in this course support will improve intelligence culture and profiling in companies and government entities and will increase the level of information security. Support contains 80 pages. The project partners have cooperated widely for a more efficient implementation of the dissemination of the project. The project has been widely disseminated at regional, national and European level. The project has had a significant impact on participants, participating organizations, target groups and other relevant stakeholders. The impact at the partner level consisted in the increase of the professional experience, of the competences, mainly through the exchange of good practices and knowledge used in 3 countries and different cultures. The impact of the project can be summarized as follows: Experts, staff of participating organizations: expertise in the management and implementation of EU projects, exchange of information on teaching skills, legislation and policies in other participating countries, increased skills in providing courses with different formulas (classoom, e-learning), skills in the organization of events (multiplication and dissemination) The target group directly and indirectly: a better understanding of the selection process in the field of information, ensuring better information security, the importance of the human factor in intelligence, reducing human error in intelligence processes, developing a culture of intelligence and in the business context, starting awareness of information and information processes at all levels of the organization (business or government), Increasing the performance for trainers in teaching courses The innovative techniques, methods and tools used had an increased impact on the target group. The impact of the project is felt in the form of awareness about information security and access to higher standards and processes for personnel selection in information services.
