Our project is based on symbols in our lives.They are the most important factors connecting and interdigitating a society as a bridge.They increase common points and decrease diversities and discrepancies.And they don’t allow people to forget their past lives.As an European citizen,we need to know our symbols at present and in the past better.Symbols can be person,event, monument,statue,city,work,story,food,drink,song,fairy and legendary character,national and traditional day,tradition in our lives etc. .With this project, we are aiming:to improve the level of key competences and skills,foster quality improvements,innovation excellence and internationalisation at the level of education,promote the emergence and raise awareness of European Lifelong Learning area,be aware of EU’s abroad linguistic diversity and cultures,improve the teaching and learning of languages in real life,encourage the participation of students/teachers in democratical life in Europe,develop their professionalism and European dimension of our schools.All the students and educational staff in each school will participate to project. We are 7 schools and project's period is 2 years.Romania is the coordinator.Last year we applied this project with 6 partners but we couldn't get the grant.This year with 7 partners,we corrected missing points and ready to work on project activities.Also we have prepared a plan to apply the project to:Social Studies or History,Craft,Music,Art,Technology and Design,Drama or Mother Tongue,Science,Computer Science,Foreign Language,,Physical Education lessons.We had introduced our project to the students,teachers and parents with presentations.Also Turkish school held an exibition on its symbol area: Handmade toys -handmade crafts and a seminar on technology and science symbols with the participation of local authorities. Hosting school will search and work with its symbol area.Then the results will be shared with the other schools during the visits via students’ performances,music,children games,presentations,dances,exibitions,visiting museum historical and touristical places.Every school also has chosen their symbol areas as follows: 1 Spain:Music,traditions in our life styles and sports and children games 2 Turkey:Hand made toys,hand crafts,technology and science 3 Croatia:Drinks,geographical features (rivers,mountains,islands,valleys,hills,seas,lakes,waterfalls,caverns etc) and animals in danger 4 Italy:Important people in the past and present-major events history and education 5 Romania:Food and national and traditional days 6 Poland: Historical and touristical symbols,fairy and legendary characters 7Hungary: Visitor countries will search and work by the hosting country’s symbol area from its own side in their schools.And they will present the works to their students,teachers and parents.Later they will share the works via CD exchanges during the visits.Also hosting country will organize some workshops from its working area to the participants.Our main results and outcomes:project song,logo,website,eTwinning work space,2018 and 2019 calendars,project DVD ,partner schools' education system DVD,Europe Day DVDs for each year,project leaflet and main output of the project: "Eurosymbols Sourcebook" as final output. Before and after a visit,all the stakeholders in local,regional and national level will be informed in each country about the meeting and its activities by our project website,eTwinning ,Erasmus+ corners/walls,social media tools and local and national press. Impact:Studentswill get familiar with learning behaviours of other schools and be encouraged to learn and communicate in foreign languages and learn their symbols in different areas with other students and teachers from different countries involved in the project.Pupils also will contribute to developing self competence, social competence, specialist and methodological competence, improvement of ICT competence and rise of self confidence.Teachers will learn LL skills and education, and will be encouraged to study continuously and self improve. Benefits for long term: The international dimension of education and training and the skills,competences and active citizenship of pupils and teachers will be enhanced.Continuous cooperation and exhance and transfer of knowlodge between partnership schools will be strengthen. Prejudices in people between different countries will be demolished.Students' ability to handle a job and competences on analysis,synthesis and monitoring together with the ability of working in a group will be improved teachers' Increasing pupils' and teachers' linguistic and ICT competences.Continuous wish in participating European projects will be permanent. Participants:The main participants as teachers:Social Studies,History,Music,Craft and Art,Science.PE,ICT together with school directors and project contact persons. And 3 students from each school to each visit for LTT.
