Project summary

Our project will be developed in Ciudad Real, where the organizing entity (Cocemfe Oretania) is located. Cocemfe Oretania is a Non-Governmental Non-Profit Organization whose objective is to bring together, strengthen, train and coordinate the efforts and activities of provincial entities and associations that work for people with disabilities to defend their rights and improve their quality of life. With more than 20 years of experience collaborating in projects of employment integration, training, leisure and inclusive sport, etcetera; we seek to continue expanding our knowledge in order to provide a better quality of service to our users. Our objectives are: -> Improve our capacities as an entity to enhance our improvement, offering a service in favor of the social equality by offering an improved service, with extended knowledge and contrasted with other entities in the European Union. -> To offer our users the opportunity to improve, to eliminate the obstacles that are presented to them at a cultural and formative level, which in turn are reflected in a context that is economically and socially disadvantaged. These will be done through: -An analysis of our weaknesses and strengths in our areas of work: employment integration, training, health care and inclusive leisure. -An analysis of the search for solutions to the problems faced by people at risk of social exclusion at an international level. As the first project at European level that we present, we want to carry out a small collaboration between five countries of the European Union. We will have the participation of five entities from different countries, thus promoting intercultural exchange between different entities of the European Union. The profile of the collaborators will be: entities of the European Union, with interest in the social inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion, entities that share the philosophy and principles of our entity. Employees must have the necessary professional skills and qualifications to carry out the proposed action. The development of the collection of information and compilation of the analysis will be carried out periodically, arranging periodic personal or virtual contact monthly to carry out a final compilation to the fifth month and its dissemination in conferences in which all the entities will participate. As research, it will be carried out in a cooperative way between all the entities, the final result would be the presentation of a Guide that will show an analysis of the current situation of young people with disabilities in the corresponding countries. It will be presented at conferences where the participating countries will gather to disseminate the results of the study and the knowledge and skills acquired, promoting dialogue and participation. The expected result of this collaboration is to be able to participate, through an analysis of the entities and the work with our users, in the integration of young people and groups at risk of social exclusion in order to provide improvements; provide, through our entity, a more multicultural and European environment in our region; expanding the future participation of more entities and more european youngs to our projects. With regard to our entity, we would like to make an internal reflection to analyze our weaknesses and strengths in all areas. After this analysis, we hope to be able to carry out improved, more open actions, and count on the development of innovative and sustainable ideas as a consequence. In relation to the target groups, we would expect an improvement in personal, educational and cultural skills in general, making progress in eliminating the obstacles to social exclusion. In addition, for our users, young people with problems of social inclusion, an improvement in the competencies of the entity will be a benefit that would lead to socio-cultural improvement and even economic progress for the future. In addition, as an entity in favor of persons with disabilities, we would like to implement the learning learned from the collaboration with other European entities and convey the philosophy of the organization to encourage people with disabilities to put into practice the principles of full social participation with equal opportunities, guaranteeing the promotion of rights, autonomy and independent living, integration and standardization, universal accessibility, respect for diversity and the gender perspective and quality of life.

Final report summary

Our project has been developed in Ciudad Real, although the partner organizations have also been visited to analyse the examples of good practices in situ, in the countries of the partner organizations. Among the objectives are: -> To expand our competences to enhance our improvement, offering a service in favour of social equality by offering an improved service, with an extended knowledge and contrasted with other entities in the European Union. -> To offer to the users the opportunity to improve, by removing the obstacles posed to them at formative and cultural level, which in turn are reflected in a context that is economically and socially disadvantaged. Carried out by: -An analysis of the weaknesses and strengths in: labour integration, training, social care and inclusive leisure. -An analysis seeking solutions to the problems faced by people at risk of social exclusion at international level. The coordinating entity has been Cocemfe Oretania, an NGO whose objective is to unite, strengthen, train and coordinate the efforts and activities in favour of people with physical and functional disabilities to defend their rights and improve their quality of life. This one collaborates in projects of labour integration, formation, leisure and inclusive sport, etcetera; and with this project it pursued to continue expanding their knowledge to be able to give a better quality of service to the beneficiaries. The partner organizations were 1st SENDSC of Thessaloniki (Greece), Rightchallenge (Portugal), World Net (Italy), Phoenix Social Enterprise (United Kingdom). They have experience in national and international projects with young people from different backgrounds, and have interest in the social inclusion of people at risk of social exclusion; they share the philosophy and principles of our entity. The collaborators gathered the professional competences and the necessary qualifications to carry out the proposed action, since they have a wide experience and we have both enriched each other. On the other hand, the social work they develop is based on very different approaches, which has given us points of view and different approaches, reaching an analysis of reality and a search for more complete solutions when carrying out an integrative work of young people with problems of exclusion. The participants have been workers in the field of youth with youth / youth and adults with disabilities and / or at risk of social exclusion. Likewise, during visits and practical analysis, young people with disabilities and / or at risk of social exclusion from the same entities and neighbouring entities have participated in the activities. The development of the information collection and compilation of the analysis has been carried out periodically, by contacting personnel periodically or virtually monthly to carry out a compilation of information. At the end of the compilation of theoretical and practical information, a meeting was held in Spain where we analysed our situation and carried out a search for common solutions. Its dissemination has taken place in conferences in which all entities participated and through the publication on our website of the summary. The result of this collaboration has been the analysis of the entities and work with our users, in the integration of young people and groups at risk of social exclusion to be able to provide improvements; the creation of a network of contacts with common interests for the inclusion of young people at risk of social exclusion; as well as the search for solutions in the observed problem (reflected in the approach of a future common project). With respect to our entity, we have carried out an internal reflection of our weaknesses and strengths in all areas. In relation to the target groups, we would expect an improvement in personal, educational and cultural competences in general, making an advance in the elimination of the obstacles that cause social exclusion. In addition, for users, young people with problems of social inclusion, an improvement in the skills of the entity will mean a benefit that would lead to a sociocultural improvement and even an economic advance for the future. In addition, as an entity in favor of people with disabilities, we would like to implement the lessons learned from collaboration with other European entities and transmit the philosophy of the entity to enable people with disabilities to put into practice the principles of full social participation with the same opportunities, guaranteeing the promotion of rights, autonomy and independent life.
